“I don’t want to live in Chicago anymore.” The words I had just scribbled in my journal glared up at me. I was shocked I had written them. It was a truth that had been simmering below the surface for months, an undercurrent of dissatisfaction and constant busyness that dictated my life. It had taken a solo road trip to Scotland for it to all boil over, allowing me to be brave enough to admit it, even if that admonition was for my eyes only.
