Love is one of the worst things I have ever came across
This is a story of a love that has destroyed me. Lost love, to be more specific. I'm sure many of you can relate. This isn't the first time it's happened to me, but it really never gets easier. It's not even the loss of the person: I've lost people before and gotten over it quickly enough. No, this is something else entirely—this is like losing a part of yourself and not being able to get that back. This is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone, even those who wronged me before and since then—it's just too painful. So if you'll allow me my nostalgia for a moment, let's talk about what happens when love dies."

How to Handle Disrespectful Clients and Put Your Bully-Free Office Policy into Action
Disrespectful clients are a problem. They're bad for business, bad for morale, and bad for your organization as a whole. Many organizations have adopted policies to prevent bullying in the workplace, but these usually don't apply to customers or clients. It's unfair to expect employees to put up with disrespectful behavior from people they serve when the same standards don't apply to coworkers and employers. By creating a culture of respect at work, you can protect yourself and your employees from clients who engage in bullying behavior and ensure that everyone feels safe in the workplace.

There is no secret to getting a job, it is usually a matter of luck.
I'm going to say something that will probably make you quite upset: Unless you are in an extremely small professional niche, I can almost guarantee there is someone out there who has the exact same job experience as you, with the exact same qualifications and credentials as you. If you're wondering how it could be possible for someone else to have your exact same resume, I want to assure you that this is possible—and not just possible; it's probable. Sound crazy? Just think about how many people from your graduation class went into your field: the answer is in the hundreds of thousands.

Here is why I prefer to work with Freelancers
Over the last five years, I've become a firm believer in the power of working with freelancers. When I decided to switch from my job at a large corporation to pursuing my own business ventures, I was nervous about taking on that kind of risk. But I knew from experience how much easier it is to work with individuals than entire teams and departments. That's why, when I did go out on my own, one of the first things I did was hire contractors instead of adding more employees and managers to our company payroll. Why? Well, there are plenty of reasons! So let's examine some of them now:

The harsh truth: Recruiters will always choose the individual they like, regardless of qualifications, experience and skills
You probably won't like this, but it's the truth. Recruiters, interviewers, and potential employers will always hire the candidate that they like, even if they don't have qualifications or skills or experience. In fact, interviewers will often pass over a qualified applicant just to hire someone who isn't as good of a fit for the job but is more likable. It's not fair; I know. But it's how it works. Unfortunately, there isn't any way to prove this either because employers can always find some reason that you weren't qualified for the job when really they just didn't like you and thought someone else was better suited for the position. So what should you do about this? Well we'll talk about that next time.
