In the Shadow of a Great Dead God
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Above falls a fiery black object. It breaks through Earth’s stratosphere and trails the greatest plume of smoke from behind. Its fall sings like a siren, stabbing through the sound barrier faster than light. Smoke builds above and coats the naked blue sky in a gray mask, hiding the blazing sun from sight.

Alina so badly wanted to find something to insult him with, a snarky comeback or a side-eye, but he’d always reject any possibility of Alina winning between themselves across the classroom. He relaxed his shoulders, leaned against the island table at the foot of the auditorium-like classroom, and sighed like a parent growing tired of his whining toddler. He raised a shaped brown brow and pursed his lips at Alina’s foot-tapping person.

0 STEP INTO OBLIVION 1 PROLOGUE The icy-cold barren landscape spread for miles from the man’s perspective, the entire horizon covered in a pure white blanket served a rather ironic purpose of chilling its earthly host. The blackened trees scattered all around his person as if lost in a green, dewy rainforest, but this hellish snow land’s features were monotone – a black and white pattern whose branch tips would tap the drooping sky towards the dip into the curved horizon.
