Chris Rock: It's Always Something. Top Story - March 2023.
You know, this one hurts. I had been a fan of Chris Rock for over 25 years; the "Lil Penny" commercials, SNL, his movies, his stand-up specials, you name it. I was a huge supporter of Chris Rock. I was a big time fan of his. I was one of his most staunchest of supporters. Notice the increasing emphasis on "was." It's because on the afternoon of March 5, 2023, I tweeted the following:

Villainess Review: Valeria Brant (Deadly Estate)
When I learned about this film hitting Tubi, I was excited. When I saw the cast and saw who was in it, I was even more excited. I have my reasons. You will see as I continue. So Tubi continued hitting it out of the proverbial park with Deadly Estate, which centers on a lavish hotel known as The Magnate, and its manager, Zakiya Carter, who is encountered by wealthy hotel owner Ron Brant. Ron is accompanied by his new wife, Valeria, as he is set to purchase The Magnate. As for Valeria, she's beaming over her new marriage, but as we see, there's problems in the wind.

XFL Week 3 Recap: Bet On It
Whether it's the NFL, the CFL, the USFL, or in this case, the XFL, Week 3 is usually the week that determines who the real contenders are. It's especially true in the 10-week XFL, as it has much less room for error than the 18-week NFL and the 21-week CFL. Two teams who definitely knew that for sure entering Week 3: the Seattle Sea Dragons and the Vegas Vipers. Both teams were 0-2, which meant somebody had to win this one--a factual statement, as the XFL has no ties.

Wolf Pack Review: "After Party"
We are now in the home stretch of Wolf Pack's first season, and it took me the entire week to come down for the high I was on from Episode 5's big ending. Sure enough, Episode 6 literally picks up where the last episode ended: with the werewolf still at the party. All of the teens are in the house scared out of their minds, while Adrian is loudly dismissing any and all claims that are the opposite of what's really out there. Everett, under Luna's urging, starts to tell what's out there, with Adrian pleading with him to do so. However, Everett states that it's a bear out there, and that drove Adrian up the wall.

Red Death Review: "The Mask of the Red Death" (Part 1)
At long last, we are at the most vital part of The Flash's Red Death saga after weeks of anticipation, excitement, and impatience. OK, all three of those words describe me. Even so, this angle has been quite intriguing and epic, and it reached new levels in Week 3, which ended with the Red Death unveiled and unmasked as Ryan Wilder--well, her alternate doppelganger. As I've been doing ever since the show's ninth and final season began, I've spent the last week eagerly awaiting the latest chapter, and lo and behold, here it is.

NHL March Madness 2023: A Look at the Stanley Cup Playoff Picture
I love the month of March, obviously because I was born on this month, but also because it's the best month in the sports calendar. For us hockey fans, March is the home stretch; it's the final full month of the NHL season, and it begins a period in the season where the numbers get thinned out and the playoff picture becomes complete at last. Right now, it's quite fuzzy. Logjams are all over the place, but such is life in the chaotic NHL.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from the Season Finale of "Alert: Missing Persons Unit"
School House Rock said it best: three is a magic number. On the night that Alert: Missing Persons Unit's season finale aired, I watched the Colorado Avalanche (the three-time Stanley Cup Champions) win 3-0 over the Vegas Golden Knights. That aforementioned episode delivered with not one, not two, but three villainesses in the two-hour double episode event. It was quite thrilling from beginning to end, and here's what occurred.

Boseman Forever
As of this writing, I have yet to see the Black Panther sequel, and that's because I am still behind just a bit on the Marvel movies (that includes having still not seen the latest Doctor Strange film). I do know this, however: that film had to have done absolute justice to the late, great Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed the titular superhero in four previous films. Hard to believe that at the time of Boseman's passing, I had been watching him in some form for a decade, having first seen Boseman in the short-lived series, Persons Unknown.

Reviewing Becky Lynch and Lita's Epic Night on Raw
What a night! The latest edition of Raw ended with a huge main event pitting Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky against Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita, with the Women's Tag Team Championship up for grabs. This bout was the latest chapter in the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Bayley, which started all the way back at SummerSlam last July. So with all of this, how did a four-time Women's Champion and a Hall of Famer get involved in this main event? And how did a second Hall of Famer get involved? To properly tell this, we have to go back a few weeks.

XFL Week 2 Recap: You Always Remember Your First
My anticipation for the Week 2 of the 2023 XFL season began as soon as the last game of Week 1 ended. Again, even when the incoming pandemic resulted in the 2020 season being cut short and paused, I knew we'd see this league back again. After one week of the league's latest return, my good feeling about the XFL increased. The league definitely has staying power now, especially with The Rock and Dany Garcia running things.
