Villainess Review: Caitlyn Lynch (Medium)
There are a select number of episodes of Medium that I do recall watching when they aired, and among that collection is the three-parter, "How to Make a Killing in Big Business." Though Allison Dubois found herself back working at the DA's office by this point, Part 1 saw her contacted by a woman named Caitlyn Lynch, who was offering Allison a job at her workplace, the prestigious Lydecker Corporation. The pay's immensely high, though even after meeting with Caitlyn, who reveals that she has the same gifts that Allison has, Allison's not sure about accepting, especially since there's a big serial killer case occurring at the same moment.

A Very Special Story on Vocal
Remember when networks aired "very special episodes" of shows, which detailed (among other things) the same issues that we face today? Remember when said issues on TV were taken seriously back then? Remember when people actually watched and actually gave a damn?

CFL Week 6 Recap: It Ain't Over 'til It's Over
Week 6 of the 2023 CFL season was absolutely full of such nail-biting drama. Pretty much every game went down to the last possession, all of them were close. We have the CFL's rules to thank for this, because they create the mayhem and chaos that we love to see in this league. All four Week 6 games had their drama, but the best of the four had to be the battle between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday.

Stating the Obvious: NFL Running Backs Need to be Paid
This is getting out of hand. A number of NFL teams seem to not want to pay their top running backs, and I can't figure out why. I've been hearing this story for a long while now, and I finally decided to write my piece about it. The ironic thing: if this was about seven years ago, I wouldn't have given this a thought, because back then, I didn't think rushing was so important.

Villainess Review: Lacy Settle (Nightmare School Moms)
I was excited for Nightmare School Moms for a number of weeks, but my excitement increased very recently for a reason I will state later on. I have to say this; I've always been fascinated by Lifetime's themed titles. A long time ago Lifetime gave up the "Perfect" films, and then we had the "Met Online" themed films (i.e. The Boy She Met Online, The Girl He Met Online, and my favorite of the bunch, The Wife He Met Online) and the "At 17" group. Very recently, Lifetime's giving us the "Nightmare Moms" films, and previous entries include PTA, Neighborhood, and Pageant, with School being the latest addition.

Reviewing VC Andrews' Dawn (Part 2: "Secrets of the Morning")
You know, I found myself already enjoying this latest VC Andrews installment while I was halfway into the first film. I still say the Ruby series is the best one, though if Dawn comes out on DVD like Ruby did, well, I may be buying that as well. So there's my endorsement. Now for the brief recap.

A Look Back: Edge and Undertaker's 2008 Feud
This month, WWE celebrated the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the storied career of WWE Hall of Famer Edge. What a career! Understatement, I know, but still. SummerSlam 1998 was his first PPV bout, as he served as Sable's tag team partner, and we know the rest after that. Became part of The Brood, teamed with Christian and won various tag titles, went solo and finally worked up to becoming an iconic main eventer, only for his career to come to a premature end barely a week after WrestleMania 27. Nearly nine years later, Edge returns at the 2020 Rumble, and has since been involved in several different and amazing angles since then.

Reviewing a Pair of Killer Villainesses from "Meet the Killer Parents"
Similar to Shohei Ohtani this season, Tubi seems to hit it out of the park every time they come to the plate. Their latest big time home run came in the form of Meet the Killer Parents, and this was the film I was looking forward to the most out of Tubi's batch of July films. The film centers on Grace Perkins, a young woman who was in a relationship with wealthy Rob Whitby, and only has her best friend/roommate, May, in her life, as Grace lost her parents at a young age. May is wary, but happy for Grace, who ends up going to Rob's house to meet his parents.

The Strike is On, and the Viewers Will Suffer
I am a devout optimist. I always believe in the best, and even when bad things happen, I often believe that they will be solved as soon as humanly possible, and all will be well. I had that optimism when the Writers' Guild of America went on strike a few months ago, and that was mainly because of their last strike about 15 years ago. I still remember the bits and pieces of that strike, and I figured that with this being a bit more of a modern time, this strike would be solved a bit quicker than the last one.

What Lurks in the Darkness?
For Bryce Fields, a detective with a decade under his belt, it was originally going to be a typical day on the job. He got the call moments after it happened: a young woman murdered as she was attempting to enter her car. It's nothing that Bryce hasn't seen before. He's been through a lot during his profession. However, he was not prepared for what he would see.

CFL Week 5 Recap: Close, but No Cigar
There are a lot of things I love about the Canadian Football League, and on that list is the league's rules. The CFL is so different from the NFL in many different ways, especially when it comes to scoring. Because of the rules, it creates so many ways for a team to win, but it also creates such crazy ways to lose as well. Just ask the Edmonton Elks.

NBA In-Season Tournament Announced
I've been hearing talk/suggestions about an in-season tournament for the National Basketball Association for a few years now, but never thought much of it because I didn't think we'd see this happen. Well...it's happening. The NBA announced that starting with the upcoming season (2023-24), an in-season tournament will take place, and all 30 teams will be involved. I'm a little bit familiar with some sports doing this. I want to say Major League Soccer does something like this, but I could be mistaken.
