So Many Clinching Scenarios, So Little Time (Week 15)
For only the third time since the NFL went to a 16-game schedule in 1978 (it's 17 games now), Week 14 ended with no playoff spots clinched. So with four weeks remaining, all fourteen slots in this year's NFL Playoffs are all open, though after Week 15, seven of them (an even 50%) could be filled. Before we get to the scenarios, here's the playoff picture.

Week 14 Recap: Death, Taxes, and Aaron Rodgers Owning the Bears
In a world where uncertainties are increasing by the bulk, it is refreshing that one thing remains true and constant: Aaron Rodgers owns the Chicago Bears. Week 14's Sunday Night Football matchup featured the Green Bay Packers hosting the Bears--the first meeting since Rodgers stated the obvious to Bears fans back in October. It was a bit of a shaky start for the Packers; special teams was a total mess for the Green and Gold, though Rodgers delivered two first half TDs, and Rasul Douglas picked up another Pick 6 interception (his second in as many games).

108th Grey Cup Recap: Dirty Dozen
When the Winnipeg Blue Bombers won the 107th Grey Cup in 2019, it was an emotional win. It was the Bombers' first Grey Cup Championship since 1990--at the time, the longest drought in Canadian Football League history. The 108th Grey Cup saw the same ending: the Blue Bombers emerging as Grey Cup Champions. Like the last one, it was emotional, but for a different reason: because they had to wait just over two years to defend their championship, and they were successful.

Villainess Review: Kristen Cargill (Dangerous Snow Day)
I was very excited for this Lifetime film, Dangerous Snow Day; the reason is obvious, but I will get to it. This film centered on Maggie Ford, who worked as a nanny for the wealthy Cargill family. We see geniality from couple Kristen and Frederick Cargill, with the latter giving Maggie a necklace as a gift. At that moment, Maggie announced that she would be leaving as their nanny, as she was focusing on her education, drawing what seemed like panic from the Cargills, mainly Frederick. Kristen voiced her own assurance that she could care for the kids, only for Frederick to shoot that down quickly. All right, then.

A Look Back: Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio's 2005 Feud
Until recently, the wrestling related stories I've written here on Vocal solely centered on women's wrestling. Originally, this story was going to be the one that broke my trend, and I'll explain why it wasn't later on. I'll just open with this: one of the best feuds I watched in the last near 20 years was the 2005 angle involving Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. I've watched every bit of this feud so many times; so much that I can pretty much describe it all, bit by bit. 2005 was a wild year in WWE, without question. I remember that WWE filled a void for me that was left by the absence of the NHL, as a lockout canceled the entire 2004-05 season, so stories like this ended up making up for that missing piece. Without further ado, the players.

Villainess Review: Janice Barber (9-1-1)
I absolutely love 9-1-1; it's yet another gem from the magnificent mind of Ryan Murphy. Among the many things I love about the series is that every episode seems to have a theme, and regarding the episode, "Breaking Point," it's just that--emergency calls centered on people who have basically had it and can't take it (whatever it is) anymore. One such call actually saw Athena Grant report to the home of Janice Barber, as her alarm was continuing to go off, much to the annoyance of her neighbors.

A Look Back: The 1st Undisputed Champion (Vengeance 2001)
One of the most legendary and memorable moments in WWE's history happened just 20 years ago: the crowning of the first-ever Undisputed Champion. It was on December 9, 2001 that the then-named World Wrestling Federation held the first Vengeance pay-per-view event, which served as the spotlight for the aftermath of a very heated Survivor Series event. So what led to this momentous event? As "Stone Cold" Steve Austin would say, "Here's the bottom line":

The 1st Clinching Scenarios (Week 14)
As expected, Week 14 features the first clinching scenarios of the season, which has reached the second week of December. Counting the upcoming Week 14, five weeks remain in this season, with the playoffs kicking off on January 15, 2022--which actually marks the 55th anniversary of the very first Super Bowl. Before we get to the scenarios, let's take a look at the current playoff picture.

Week 13 Recap: Lions Win!. Top Story - December 2021.
They did it! They finally did it! Like most things the Detroit Lions do, it wasn't easy. Week 13 saw the Lions hosting the Minnesota Vikings for the second and last time this season; the first meeting in Minnesota saw the Vikings win via a last second field goal, and also saw Lions head coach Dan Campbell tearfully hype up his team. As for this meeting, the Lions had a big lead, 20-3, but it ended up slipping away, bit by bit, with Justin Jefferson's touchdown giving the Vikings a 27-23 lead with under two minutes left in regulation.

Villainess Review: Gwenn Harwin (Castle)
The holidays are upon us, and it is always a festive time of the year. Even the crime shows celebrate the holidays, but they do have its share of grinches, and as a holiday episode of Monk proved, some of them are female. Another example came from Castle, as the holiday-themed episode, "Secret Santa," centered on the shocking murder of a professional Santa Claus.

A Look Back: When Trish and Lita Main Evented Raw in 2004
I am a diehard fan of women's wrestling and hockey, and a question I often ask myself is, "Which do I love more?" To this day, I still haven't answered that definitively. That's how much I adore women's wrestling. All I ask for is for women's wrestling to be put in the biggest spotlight possible, because, as I've said for many years now, women are the true stars of wrestling. And as a diehard fan, I will always treasure the evening of December 6, 2004, as that night's edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw saw Trish Stratus and Lita compete in the main event.

The CFL's Division Finals serve as the last phase before the big game: the Grey Cup Championship. The previous round, the Division Semifinals, saw the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Saskatchewan Roughriders win on their home fields and advance to the CFL's final four. The teams headed on the road to Toronto and Winnipeg, respectively, with the chance to play for the prestigious Grey Cup.
