Dragon Corps. Content Warning.
Chapter Five It felt like falling without fear. Unfortunately, the peace didn’t last long before he woke back up, but when his eyes opened, he wasn’t in his room. His eyes fought to adjust to the dim lighting. The air felt thick and dry, the heat burning his throat, making it hard to breathe. Even the ground, though soft, felt warm against his bare feet. By what little he could see, he figured he was in some sort of cave by the stone walls surrounding him. Judging by the vines on the walls and the floor, he had to be in either a swamp or jungle, but how did he get there?

Dragon Corps. Content Warning.
Chapter Three School passed by in a blur for Cory. He drifted from class to class, not really paying attention to what was going on, and thankfully none of the teachers bothered him. He was relieved when his final period came, because not only did it signal that school was almost over, but it was his favorite class. Cory walked in and headed towards the broken-down ’67 Chevy in the middle of the garage that served as their classroom until he felt a hand squeeze his shoulder and forcibly spin him around.

Thank You For Everything
Hey Uncle Felix, I know it’s been a while and because of what happened between you, mom and dad I didn't get to see you when I got back to California. I was really sad when the switcheroo happened since you were the one that really talked me into coming back. In the end Mom ended up doing what I knew she was going to do. Looks like she screwed us both over, after I got back Mom didn't seem to want me there which was odd since she was the one that was trying to get me to come home originally. When I clarified to her again that I wanted to keep my daughter and not give her up like she was pushing for she dropped me off at a homeless shelter. Her and Danny said they could not enable me by letting me stay with them, despite the fact they asked me to come home, I was getting interviews despite being pregnant and I was buying my own food.

A Second Chance
No one appreciates the beauty of night time, the hypnotic rhythm of cricket song, the gentleness of the cool breeze or the comfort darkness provides as it swallows the world. During the day you see and hear every creature, tree, rock and man. To be honest, day time shows you how crowded and blinding the world is.
