Anyone watching the Oscars last night had to feel deeply sorry for actors Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. In what is sure to become one of the biggest Oscar fiascos in history, the wrong Best Picture winner was announced at the 89th Academy Awards ceremony on February 26. The legendary Beatty and Dunaway somehow acquired the "Actress in a Leading Role" envelope which Best Actress Emma Stone (La La Land) says she'd been hanging onto throughout their presentation.

If there's anything that's garnered much examination since the advent of the United States under President Donald J. Trump, it's the LGBTQ movement. In spite of claims to the contrary, it would seem as though the 45th president of the United States could be backtracking on his professed support of LGBTQ rights. Weed For PTSD?
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, most commonly known as PTSD, has long plagued veterans. Whether it's flashbacks, nightmares, or something more sinister, PTSD has been a definite mental health problem that veterans have dealt with for decades; in the early 1900s, the closest thing to PTSD would have been what was commonly known back then as shell shock. Shortly after that, it was known as that or battle fatigue, and then PTSD became the standard term for anyone who deals with the burden of trying to cope with what may have been seen in an operational theater such as Iraq or Afghanistan.

Jar Jar Binks Meets Sad Fate, At Least On Paper
Is it possible to start a Jar Jar Binks fan club? According to author Chuck Wendig's Star Wars: Aftermath trilogy, things haven't exactly gone well for Jar Jar since we last saw him supporting the granting of emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine in Attack Of The Clones. In granting the chancellor - who was later revealed to be the legendary Darth Sidious, who became the Emperor - these emergency powers and voting in direct opposition to Senator Padmé Amidala's wishes, Jar Jar essentially became responsible for the death of billions, and Star Wars fans never really saw him again, except in a non-speaking role at Padmé's funeral.

Can you feel the love tonight? After last year's success with the live action version of The Jungle Book, director Jon Favreau is setting up for another live action Disney remake. Instead of going to the jungles of Africa, though, Favreau is hoping to shoot the sweeping dunes of the African desert for a live action version of The Lion King.

Who Is Joe Trudeau?
It seems that Press Secretary Sean Spicer can't catch a break. Between insisting that the turnout for President Trump's inauguration was at record levels (it wasn't) and Melissa McCarthy's over the top impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live, Spicer has been relentlessly skewered by comics, pundits and the general public. This skewering has occurred on television and on social media, and he just can't escape it.
