Fifty Blogmas post ideas
Hello, my fellow bloggers! Blogmas is a fun and exciting but also sometimes stressful event that all bloggers can participate in. If you have never heard of Blogmas the rules are really very simple. You publish one new blog post every day from December first to December twenty-fifth. It is a lot of fun to write twenty-five Christmas themed blog posts, but it can also be hard to come up with ideas for all those posts. I've only done Blogmas once but I'm looking forward to participating again this year. I have decided to write this list of Christmas themed post ideas to help give bloggers (including myself) who are in need of some Blogmas inspiration for December. Without any more delay here is a list of fifty ideas for bolognas. I decided to do fifty items because not every idea on this list will be a good fit for every blogger. Some of these ideas will also work vloggers who are doing Vlogmas this year. I hope this inspires you to have a very merry Blogmas.

Five reasons to start blogging
I have been blogging since 2015 and I truly love it. When I tell people that I blog sometimes they tell me that they wouldn't know what to blog about if they were to blog. Some people underestimate how interesting and informative their stories really are. Everyone has stories to tell and knowledge to share even if they are not yet aware of it. I wish more people would start blogging. Below are five reasons why you should consider giving blogging a try.

The flip phone is back
Last month my Google Pixel started having problems. It would randomly restart for no reason and the power button got stuck. I knew it was time for a new phone. I had planned on getting another Google Pixel but there were not any in stock when I visited the Verizon store. I had seen advertisements for the Samsung flip on Snap Chat, and I did think it looked awesome, but I was happy with my current phone. However, when I was shopping for a new phone and the Google Pixel was not an option. I knew that I wanted to try the Samsung flip. It also helped that my old phone had a good trade in value. I decided to go for it and get a flip phone that was also a smart phone. My first phone was an LG chocolate that had a keypad that slid up. While it was not a flip phone it was around the time when flip phones were popular. Since smartphones took over flip phones have become an item that is rarely seen. Even though there are certain people that prefer them to smart phones. I never thought that I would own a flip phone after getting my first smartphone. All that being said I love my new flip phone. The screen is larger than the one on my pervious phone. I like the way videos look on this phone better then they did on my Google Pixel. Plus being able to fold your phone in half as a few advantages. I love being able to fit my phone easily into my pocket. When the Samsung flip is folded it becomes the perfect size to comfortably fit into a pocket. This is very helpful if you like using your phone for music or audio books while you exercise or clean. I also love how the screen is protected when the phone is folded. One thing that has always bothered me about smart phones is the large, exposed screens. Many people myself included have had to use a phone with a broken screen. It's easy to drop your phone even when you try your hardest not to. Especially since we tend to take them almost everywhere we go. Being able to close my phone has given me added peace of mind when it comes to protecting my new phone. When I bought my phone, I also got an Otter Box case for the outside of my phone. I was happy that there was a case in stock that fit my new phone. Even though this phone is unique because it uses a case that comes in two parts there still plenty of options available. After doing a quick search online I found some very creative and cute ones available for sale on sites such as ETSY. One of the concerns people may have with a phone like this is the fold in the middle of the screen where it closes would be visible while using the phone. I could see how a big crease in the middle of your phone would be frustrating when you are taking pictures or watching videos. However, I have found the that the fold in the middle of the phone is not very noticeable unless you are looking for it. I have also found that this phone is a good conversion starter. When people see me fold me phone in half. It is an easy thing to start a conversation about. My coworkers, neighbors and friends have all asked me about my phone. I'm the only one that I personally know that has this kind of phone, but I hope that is not the case for long. I really enjoy this phone and I recommend it to all smart phone users. I hope that more people will give to this retro inspired smart phone a try.

A day in winter
Anna and Jacy grabbed their ice skates as soon as they were done with breakfast. The best part about Christmas break for Anna was being able to visit her cousin Jacy. Anna lived where it got cold but not snowy. Jacy on the other hand lived in a rural area where there was plenty of snow to play with and not much traffic to worry about. Anna loved building snowmen, having snowball fights, and making snow angels but she loved ice skating the best. She went to the ice-skating rink back home whenever she had a chance. She even had her birthday party there for the past three years. As fun as the skating rink was, it was nothing like skating on the frozen pond that was just a short and easy walk from Jacy's house. She was only ten years old, but she had already decided that she was going to get a tattoo of an ice skate on her arm right on her eighteenth birthday. Jacy said that she was going to get a tattoo of the frozen pond with some snowflakes falling down on it. For now, they would just have to settle for the glittery ice-skating stickers that Jacy's mom got them. Anna had arrived at Jacy's house very late last night. Which meant that this morning was her first chance to skate on the frozen pond this year. If they would have had their way, they would have thrown on some clothes and raced out the door. However, their parents were good at their job and made sure that breakfast was the first thing that they did that day. When breakfast was finally over it was skating time. Anna and Jacy sat down on the old wooden bench next to the pond and put their skates on as fast as they possibly could. Jacy had decorated her skates with pink and green glitter. She would help Anna decorate her skates the same way this afternoon. Jacy had gone skating already this winter but there was nothing like skating with Anna. Jacy's friends were not really into ice skating. They would do it sometimes, but it was obvious that they would rather be indoors. Before they got out onto the pond, they took a selfie of themselves smiling with the frozen pond in the background on each of their phones. Anna took a video of Jacy showing off her beautiful and glittery ice-skates and Jacy took a picture of Anna in her new cozy pink winter hat that had a big bow the top of it. As soon as they got onto the ice, they were both smiling and laughing for no reason in particular. They were just having so much fun. As they skated around the pond, they talked about how happy they were to be with each other again and of course they caught each other up on everything that had happened in their lives over the past year. Everything from frozen lemonade stands to headache inducing spelling tests was a topic of conversation. They raced each other to the end of the pond more times than they could count and pretended that they were professional athletes receiving gold medals. After hours of laughing, skating, and talking. The two cousins went back inside for hot chocolate that they poured into matching snowflake mugs, buttered popcorn in matching snowflake bowls and ice-skating movies. As they watched their favorite movies, they colored ice-skating pictures with glitter crayons and made paper snowflakes. Of course, those snowflakes were decorated with glitter and ice-skating stickers. It was truly a picture-perfect winter day.

Unreal
For months now everyone wants to know everything that happened on the worst day of my life. It's the last thing I want to talk about, but no one seems to respect that. Now that I've given my testimony in court and it's now in the hands of the jury who is locked up in a hotel somewhere. I'm going to tell everyone what happened here in this blog post. Then as soon as this post is published, I'm never going to talk about it ever again. No matter how much money I'm offered. After this I'm going back to making blog posts and videos about fashion, shopping, makeup, and travel. Just like I always have. Without any more introduction here is my story of the day that everyone is obsessed with. The never-ending rain had kept me locked inside for two weeks. It wasn't hard to stay inside after all I worked from home and anything I needed I had delivered. I didn't get lonely easily after all I had the company of my five hundred thousand followers and my two dogs and two cats. The incident that you all want to know about happened on one of those rainy days. It had started out normal but the one thing that was different was an intense feeling of loneliness. When these feelings would come up every now and then I would normally deal with them by talking to my friends, calling my dad, or evening sending messages to my followers to make their day. However, that day the feelings felt more intense than normal. I needed to see someone in person. I didn't want to make anyone drive in the rain, so I sent a text to two of my neighbors. My neighbor Trish responded right away she said that she would love to hang out, but she had a dentist appointment that she had been putting off for too long. I texted Dave as well. He didn't respond right away so I started working on a video. I was doing a video about redecorating my office. I had asked my followers for ideas on how to redecorate my and one of them suggested I decorate my whole office in my favorite color. I liked the idea it was simple but cute. For the past five weeks I had been making my basic office into a green wonderland. I had the walls painted with light and dark green stripes, I had green carpet put in, I got green light bulbs for every light in there and many more green items that would take me forever to list. I was taking some pictures of me standing in my green room underneath a bright green light bulb when Dave got back to me. Now, all of you probably know everything there is to know about Dave by now, especially with the around the clock news coverage but let me tell you what I knew about him or at least thought I knew about him before that day. He was always friendly and outgoing he was the kind of neighbor that would always stop to chat. He hosted a few neighborhood parties as well. I considered him to be a good friend of mine. He was a personal trainer, but it was common knowledge that he didn't need to work. He came from a wealthy family and could do whatever him wanted. He had a passion for fitness, and he wanted to be a fitness influencer. He would express his frustration with growing his social media following but being in that line of work myself, I did not see anything unusual about his rants. When he texted me back telling me to come over I was thrilled that my loneliness was about to be gone. I finished up taking the pictures in my green room and walked right over to his house without any hesitation. He answered the door with his normal friendly smile and welcomed me in. He asked me if I wanted coffee. I said that the answer to coffee is always yes. We sat at his kitchen table just talking about life and the rain. I've hung out with him before, and his behavior was no different than it had always been. After about an hour of talking I had to use the bathroom. On my way out of the bathroom I decided to use some Chapstick that I had in my pocket. I accidentally dropped the cap to the Chapstick tube, and it landed at the bottom of a door across from the bathroom. When I went to pick up the lid my long green fingernails went under the door just slightly and I head a gasp coming from the other side of the door. Without thinking about it I just opened the door. As soon as I opened the door my eyes locked on to a woman sitting on the bed handcuffed with her legs taped together. That is a picture I will never be able to erase from my mind. It's like it has been tattooed there. She was wearing black leggings and a white sweater. Her light brown hair was in her face, and she had mascara smeared all around her eyes. I looked at her in shock and she just looked at me with helpless eyes. I was frozen in fear then I slowly closed the door and my heart started pounding. I slowly walked back down to the kitchen. I decided to text my friend Hope because she was known for responding to texts right away. I told her not to ask questions, but I needed her to send the police to this address. Then I followed that text up with one that said it's a kidnapping I don't know if there are any weapons here. When I entered the kitchen, I kept staring at my phone. This was not unusual for me, so Dave did not say anything other than asking me if I wanted some cake that he had in the fridge. I said yes. It was then when Hope texted me back with a simple ok. I sat there with Dave eating cake and doing my best not to look freaked out. It felt like a year, but it was only a few minutes when text message popped up on my phone that simply read “Done.” I quickly responded with thanks. I kept Dave talking about random topics while I waited before I knew it there was a knock at the door. I made sure I got to the door before he did and as soon as I saw the officer, I ran out the door and yelled she was upstairs. Dave tried to run towards the stairs, but the officer grabbed him before he could make it. I had kept my cool for so long but now I was a mess another officer asked me exactly where the room was. I gave her directions, and she went up the stairs with another officer behind her. I stood outside the door refusing to look at Dave. Everything had happened so fast. I didn’t hear Dave say anything. I kept hoping that I would not hear him say anything. I got my wish and Dave stayed quiet. A while later the officers came down with the woman. She did not say anything to me at first, she just hugged me. Later, I would learn as all of you have. That the woman was a fitness influencer named Paula that Dave had wanted to do a collaboration with, but she had turned him down. It all seems so unreal even to this day. Dave wasn't used to getting rejected but I never imagined that it would cause him to do the unthinkable. There you have it my side of the story. This post has been anything but normal but I will sign off like normal.

New school, new bull
Candy slowly walked down the hallway of her new school's main building. She mostly looked at the floor as she made her way to what would be her classroom for fifth grade. She was filled with a mix emotion. All the emotions that she was feeling at the time were of a negative nature. Anger, anxiety, fear, and sadness all filled up her head and her heart. Normally when returning to school, Candy was sad to see summer end but was happy to be back with her friends and to play on the playground at Pine Lane Elementary. However, this year she was not at Pine Lane. She was in a completely new school with new people and new playground. The area where Candy lives had become more and more populated in recent years. The local schools could no longer accommodate all the children who now lived in the district. It was decided that new schools and new districts would be built so that children in the city could be accommodated. Candy's new school was called Flower Garden Elementary, and it was not where she wanted to be. Candy lives a short walk from the new school however her two best friends Daisy and Mindy still live in Pine Lane's district. Originally Candy was told that she would get to complete her last year of elementary school at Pine Lane. However, the construction of flower garden elementary had been completed sooner than expected. All summer the school districts debated to decide if the fifth-grade students should be moved to Flower Garden now or wait until middle school to change districts. Candy had been at Pine Lane since kindergarten, and she wanted more than anything to graduate from there. During the summer Candy didn't think about the ongoing debates that much. She was too busy enjoying her summer. She had a fun summer full of adventure, so it was easy not to think about school. She had gone to Disneyland, spent a week at summer camp, visited her uncle and spent a lot of time hanging out with Daisy and Mindy. However even all that fun couldn't keep her mind off school once the news was broke to her two weeks before school started. Apparently, adults were a lot slower at making decisions then Candy had thought they would be. She had assumed that the silence meant she'd be returning to Pine Lane for her last year of elementary school. Candy had spent the last two weeks of summer vacation alternating between crying and being angry. She told her parents that she was going to sneak on the bus to Pine Lane instead of walking to Flower Garden. Candy was not usually known as a troublemaker. However, she had not been herself for the past two week so her mom thought it would be best if she drove her to the new school and made sure that Candy went inside. When Candy reached her new classroom, she found the desk with her name on it. she immediately sat down and put her head down on her desk so that she would not have to look at anyone. About five minutes later the bell rang and the teacher introduced himself to the class. Mr. Morgan was her new teacher. Candy only picked her head up off the desk to look straight forward because she was afraid if she didn’t, she would draw attention to herself. After Mr. Morgan introduced himself, he wanted the class to do the same. He had sent an email out to all the parents and students asking everyone to bring three pictures from their summer to share with the class. He began calling on the students by where they were sitting. Candy reached for the purple folder in her backpack. She knew she would be the third student to share her pictures and she just wanted to get it over with. Her first picture was of her family in front of the castle at Disneyland, her second picture was of her and her sister holding up some of the art projects that they had made at summer camp and her third picture was of a Bull that she had seen when she was on a walk by her uncle’s house. She had really liked the bull. She had named him popcorn after her favorite food. The next student to share her pictures was a girl named Lara. Her first picture was of a bull named Jelly. He lived at the farm animal rescue where her father worked. She talked all about him and how friendly he was. Suddenly candy’s negative emotions seemed to disappear. She wished that she could met Jelly and take a picture of him too. As soon as Lara sat back down at her desk she made eye contact with Candy and they both smiled. Lara quickly drew something on a sticky note and passed it to Candy it was a picture of a bull. Candy Smiled her biggest smile at Lara. She could tell that this was the beginning of a great friendship.

The Blessing of getting old
I am thirty years old. In the past few years, I have become more self-conscious about my age. I have always considered myself to be young but that has begun to change. More and more I notice that I am not the young person that I have always considered myself to be. There are people that I use to babysit that are now adults themselves, I know of people who were adults while I was a child who have passed away and I have a few gray hairs myself. When I think about getting older the first feelings that I have are negative. I have feelings of being irrelevant or being out of the loop. It's almost like youth is an exclusive club and once you’re out, you can’t go back. If you look around, you will see that it is normal to want to fight against old age. I am not talking about being healthy and taking good care of your body. I’m talking about spending your hard-earned money on skin treatments, hair dyes and other beauty products and doing so with the only purpose of hiding any physical signs of ageing. Before I go any further, I would like to say that there is nothing wrong with getting skin treatments or dying your hair. The problem is when these products are advertised one of their big selling points is that they will make you look younger. These advertisements give the impression is that getting older is a bad thing and that it needs to be hidden. Maybe the beauty industry needs to be remined that it is normal for our bodies to change as we get older. If you like using these products because you like how they make you look. Go for it. However, it is important that we stop trying to change our looks just to please others. I do not remember where I read it, but I do remember very clearly reading that getting old is a privilege that not everyone gets. This made me look at getting older in a whole new light. Getting older is a good thing. Being old means you have survived the many hazards that we face every day. During my four years of high school five students passed away. Even though I was not close to any of them I could still feel the pain around me. Those young people never got the chance to be adults. They never got the chance to feel old. They did not get to experience the milestones and everyday occurrences that we take for granted. It seems like every day we hear about a life ending too soon. While getting old is not something we look forward to it is a great thing to accomplish. Getting to an old age is a great accomplishment. However, that accomplishment is often overlooked. I am not going to pretend that old age is good in every way. Many old people struggle with age related health conditions. On the other hand, being old means that you have more than likely gained wisdom through your experiences. You will have to ability to share what you have learned with others, even if they do not always listen. It is not always easy, but I am trying my best to look at getting older as a good thing. When I start to feel bad about my age, I remind myself of all that I have learned and accomplished. When I was younger, I did not have the confidence or determination that I have now. There are some things that just come with age.

I adopted a sixteen-year-old cat
This story starts in February of 2014. I was sitting at the computer in the living room. I do not know why I was looking at the adoptable cats on a local animal shelters website. I already had one cat at the time, and we did not have any plans to get another. When I saw a sixteen-year-old black cat named Blanca listed on the webpage for adoption, I felt sorry for her. I knew her age and fur color lowered her chances for getting adopted. It is common knowledge that kittens get adopted quicker than adult cats. Back in 2008 I had gotten my other cat Sherri from the same shelter. She was only two years old at the time, but she had already been at the shelter for three months. Even for the young adult cats adoption can take a while. I knew it would be hard for a sixteen-year-old cat to find a home when it took three months for a two-year-old cat to do so. Also, when it comes to cats there a people who believe that black cats are bad luck. This makes it much harder for black cats to get adopted compared to cats with other fur colors. I somehow was able to convince my parents that we should adopt her. The next day my mom and I went to the animal shelter and asked to see her. She was very friendly and could walk around and jump without any problem. We found out that she had been brought to the shelter to be euthanized but the vets could not find any medical reason to put her down. She was an old cat, but she was a healthy cat. We brought her home and set her up with everything she needed in my room. I must be honest I did not think that Blanca would be around for long. Especially since according to my friend Google cats live an average of fourteen years. Since Blanca was already two years past that I figured she would be with us for a few months or hopefully even a year. It turns out that Blanca did not agree with Google’s answer and that she had other plans. After getting to know Blanca some more I learned that she was a small cat with a big personality. She loved attention when she wanted me to pet her, she would lay down right on my chest and do her absolute best to get between me and my phone. She also had a very loud meow and she knew how to use it. When she wanted something, she made sure that you knew it. I have never had another cat that was as loud as she was. Two words that describe her best are sweet and sassy. After having her for a few years I adopted a kitten who I named Cooper that had be found in a trash can. She made sure to let him know who was boss. Cooper loved to cuddle so they had their cute moments. Unfortunately, Blanca and Sherri never become friends, but they did tolerate each other. My adventure with the sweet and sassy Blanca lasted almost six years! I miss being able to say that I have a cat that is only eight years younger than I am. I absolutely adored her she was friendly and not shy at all. She wanted every visitor to pet her. It was so hard to see her go but I was so blessed to have her for as long as I did. Adopting a senior pet was one of the best choices I have ever made. If you are looking to adopt a new pet, I would suggest that you consider sharing your home with a senior pet because they still have a lot of love to give.

Three dog names that should be retired
Three dog names that should be retired Hello, fellow friends of dogs. (I am assuming that you like dogs if you are reading this article.) I have known many dogs over the years. I had one when I was growing up, I have a habit of making friends with as many dogs as I can, and I worked at a pet supply store for over a year. It goes without saying that I have heard a wide variety of dog names over the years. Some of those names were pretty awesome in my opinion others not so much. Here is a list of three common dog names that need to go extinct in my opinion. I have one more thing to say before I get to the list. This article is based only on my own opinions I do not have any intention of making anyone feel bad for giving their dog one of these names. I wrote this article for fun and entertainment so let us get to it.

I've got good news
What I am about to say will not come as a shock. Bad things happen every day in this world. All you must do is look at the news and you will hear about acts of violence, horrific accidents, scandals, and controversies. Now, what I am about to say next may surprise you a little. Good things happen every day in this world. You may have to look around a little bit before you hear about them but trust me, they do happen. If you wish to do so you can read stories about people helping others, feel-good stories about adorable animals, breath taking works of art, people celebrating their great accomplishments and other everyday stories that will have you smiling. There is one thing I often wonder about when it comes to the news. Why are the negative topics highlighted while the positive topics are hidden? Why is it that to read a negative or tragic story all you need to do is look at the front page but to read a positive story you have search for it? I wonder if we put the positive stories on the front page, would our would moods improve? It is so easy to have a negative view of the world when we are constantly reading and viewing depressing and discouraging content. Sometimes positive content will make an appearance on the news, but it is almost never the lead story. Now, this is going to be even harder to believe but I have discovered that this world is a pretty great place. Yes, bad things happen all the time and I am not denying that. However, there is so much good in this world that goes overlooked. It is hard to see this world in a positive light when all the uplifting stories are buried underneath the tragic ones. Often, I see the negative tone of the news have an impact on the mood of those around me. It is easy to feel angry or hopeless after watching the news highlight everything that is wrong with the world. I have seen people vent their negative feelings about what they saw on the news online and in person. At my retail job I have had customers that I have never seen before venting their political opinions to me and my coworkers. It is an awkward position to be in. I much rather people tell me about the great things that are happening in their lives or the lives of others. I do not know why we continue to watch the news on a regular basis when it has a clear negative impact on our overall wellbeing. I do agree that is important to stay informed with what is going on in the world but there needs to be a balance with the stories that are being put on the front pages. The lead story on the news should be an encouraging one at least every other day. I think that this would benefit people more than even I can imagen. I also know this is not something that can change overnight. This will take a lot of time and effort. I think that the best place to start is to bring the positive stories into the spotlight the best we can. When you see a positive story on social media consider sharing it. Tell others about the positive things in your life and ask them for the good things that are happening in theirs. Now, I want to make something clear there are negative things happening in this world that we cannot afford to turn a blind eye to. There are many serious problems that we need to be aware of and that we need to change. However, we cannot forget to shine a light on the positive stories that are happening. I bet we would start noticing positive changes in ourselves and others if we gave the positive stories and the negative stories the amount of publicity.

Baths are magical.
I have always been a shower person; they are a much quicker option than baths and when life gets busy you tend to look for the quickest ways to accomplish your daily tasks. During my twenties I realized the great importance of having a work life balance and finding ways to take time for yourself. Recently I have been focusing on finding more ways to reduce my stress level. I have found that taking baths is an amazingly simple way to reduce my daily stress. I know that baths have been thought of as an overrated form of selfcare. However, speaking from personal experience, I can tell you that baths can help to decrease stress and give you a break from your normal everyday routine. Taking a bath may seem like it would not provide the stress relief that you need. However, I can say that from my own experience It gives me an extremely peaceful feeling to relax in the warm bath water. I have taken a bath when I was in a bad mood and when I was done with my bath my mood had improved greatly. When I take a bath, it feels like the world pauses for a moment. Bath time is a great time to stop, think and reflect without having any distractions. I have become a fan of bath bombs I use them in most every bath I take. Bath bombs come in all kinds of colors and scents some even make bubbles or have prizes inside. My favorite bath bombs are the ones that have the prizes in them. It is fun seeing which prize you end up with. I also like using Epsom salts in my baths they are great for relaxing your muscles. Bath bombs and Epsom salts are both inexpensive. I have gotten them both from the Dollar Tree before. You may also what to try using candles or an essential oil diffuser to make bath time more relaxing. One other thing that I enjoy about baths is that you can customize your bath so that it is exactly what you want to be. Some other ideas to make your bath your own is to play music, use tub crayons, or even add some bath toys. I must admit that I have a duck toy in my bathtub and of course bubble bath is a classic way to make bath time more fun. You can make the space your own by getting a new shower curtain in your favorite color or a fun pattern that you enjoy looking at. Bath pillows are a great item to add to your bathtub to make it a little more comfortable for relaxing. Baths can become part of your daily hygiene routine. You can easily combine your shower with a bath. That way you can accomplish two things at once. It is quite easy to get caught up in all your daily obligations. We often forget to take care of ourselves when our plates are full of other tasks that we see as more important than selfcare. We need to remember that not only is it all right to put our health first it is also an especially important thing to spend some of your time on. A bath is an easy thing to add to your routine at the beginning of your day to relax your mind and get you ready for the day ahead or you can have a bath at the end the day to wind down and help you to relax before bed. Now that I have started taking baths for stress relief and relaxation, I do not think I am going to stop. Finding stress relief can be much simpler than you may think. You do not need to spend a lot of time or money to find that much needed break from the everyday stress that we all experience. There are simple and inexpensive ways to add some much-needed stress relief into your day and taking a bath is a perfect way to do that.
