Emerald Oasis Four: Rodger Bentley
There was a baby on the floor. Joyce had seen many bizarre things happen since she moved into Emerald Oasis Nursing Home, but this was beyond a joke. Joyce picked the baby up and tried to comfort it. He was still crying. Poor thing, she thought. The baby had nothing. His frail skin exposed to the cold breeze from the window. He didn't even have a nappy. Joyce removed her lime green cardigan and wrapped it around the baby's body. The baby's mother had to be young or somebody new to parenting. No decent parent would ever leave a child on the floor naked by the window.

Emerald Oasis Chapter Two: The Rabbit That Turned Into A Wolf
It was Joyce Patrick's first night at Emerald Oasis Nursing Home. Her room was number eighteen on the red unit. Joyce didn't quite understand why it was called the red unit when the walls were white and the carpet was purple. The other unit appeared to be the same. That was known as the blue unit.

Emerald Oasis Chapter One: The Fairies In The Garden
Today was the day. Joyce did her best to do everything she was told by the hospital to ensure a speedy recovery. She wasn't allowed to go home, she couldn't remember why, but she remembered the staff trying to tell her so many times. Either way, she was glad to be leaving.

SM:TV Was Brilliant
If you were a 90’s kid in the UK, you got up every Saturday morning to watch this show. The weekends always went off with a good start thanks to this show. It got everybody involved. The kids always had a laugh. The adults got some of the jokes that kids wouldn’t get and there was no filters. The presenters were big kids themselves. There has never been another show like it and since the show ended, Saturday mornings have never been the same. The sketches were fantastic.

5 Covers That Would Have Sounded Amazing
Have you ever wondered what a certain song would sound like if someone else covered it? When an artist remakes another artist’s song, it’s either a hit or a miss. There’s a plethora of best covers/worst covers lists all over the internet. Despite so many articles on covers, I was never able to find a list of covers that listeners WANTED to happen, so I wrote one myself in 2020. Since then, I thought of five more covers I think would have sounded amazing, but alas do not exist.

Beau & The Hag
Once upon a time, there was a farm boy named Beau who loved books. Beau was the baby of the Bachelor family. His beauty always made his spoilt brothers jealous, but they always mocked him for his love for flowers and nature. Flowers, especially red roses always made Beau think of his late mother. His elder brothers blamed him for her death. For not long after he was born, she succumbed to a sickness that she never recovered from. Their father died with her.

The Cringe Factor
As soon as this week’s Vocal challenge about cringey TV shows to binge watch to, the first thing that came to my head was Simon Cowell’s kingdom of talent shows that have been dominating screens for nearly twenty years. I have a serious love/hate relationship with these kind of shows. As a child, I was a big fan of Pop Idol and The X Factor.

How To Be Invisible
Naomi tapped on Bertie’s bobble hat. “Look Bertie...” she said, pointing to a little black book under her arm. The young boy squinted, trying to make out the silver letters against the black fabric. “What is it?” He couldn’t tell what it meant, but he had a feeling that something good was going to happen. His elder sister never smiled unless she was getting something.

Kate Bush Albums Ranked
Why Kate Bush is One of My Favourite Singers? I think she is one of the best singers ever because of her immense talent and artistry. Even though the music industry remains male-dominated, I think it’s wonderful that a woman like Kate Bush can still inspire many generations many years after Wuthering Heights was released. Wuthering Heights was the first UK number one single to be written by a woman, and she was very young at the time as well. I love how theatrical, experimental and progressive her music is. Her influence an timeless records can still be heard on many records today.

Why Did It Take Me 20 Years To Complete The Pokédex On Pokémon Crystal
I have been a fan of the franchise all my life. My favourite generation out of all of them is Generation II and Crystal is one of my favourite games. I’ve played it so many times, but never completed the Pokédex in Crystal before...until now.
