Lilac Water
As the morning light gently filtered through the curtains, I awoke with a sense of anticipation. Last evening, I had prepared something special—a jar of water infused with the essence of fresh lilac flowers. The delicate fragrance had permeated the water overnight creating a tantalizing elixir waiting for me in the refrigerator.

As a young girl, she often found herself sitting beneath the willow tree in her backyard, talking to it as if it were her closest friend. She confided in it her deepest secrets, dreams, and fears. And to her surprise, it would answer back in its own way. As she grew older, she dismissed it as her imagination.

A leaf for a fish
The stray cat, always loitering near the fish market, watched intently as customers came and went. One day, a leaf fell from a tree and caught her eye. Picking it up in her mouth, she made her way to the fishmonger. The man, amused by the cat's gift, took the leaf and in return, gave her a fresh fish.
