The Time-Traveler's Dilemma

In a small, dusty attic perched atop an ancient bookstore, Amelia Grayson stumbled upon a peculiar contraption covered in a thick layer of cobwebs and mystery. It was a time machine, unlike anything she had ever seen before. The device consisted of an ornate wooden chair, surrounded by an intricate system of gears and brass pipes that seemed to lead to nowhere. A flickering dial displayed a bewildering array of dates and destinations.
