The Misfits Ch's: 5 & 6
(Chapter 5) Jake woke up to the sound of his alarm clock; as soon as he realized he was awake, he immediately sat up in his bed. Memories from the night before came flooding back into his mind, the sight of Dylan's dead body burned his thoughts to the point that he placed both of his hands on the sides of his head and cried. Each one of the team had a special story of how they joined. Red, who's name was Matty, had just been discharged from the Marines for setting an entire field of Marijuana on fire to get his platoon high. Carlos, Black, had been an antihero who'd gotten famous for killing pedophiles and cutting off their willies. Scott, Green, had sent his abusive step dad into a tornado for beating his mom one too many times. Each of them had nowhere to belong and the Misfits became their home... their family. Dylan was one of the original 4 members, along with Jake, Lucas, and Grayson (Purple,Yellow, and White). Jake had known him since they were both 17, so to see him executed right in front of him... That made for a tough morning that day. Suddenly, Red walked into the room without bothering to knock.

Why Is Climate Change So Dangerous?
It has been one of the key topics for political debate since I was born. Climate change... and why it's such a potential threat to our planet. You hear it all the time, how all the worlds top scientist are warning us about just how catastrophic things will get once we pass the point of no return. However, even I myself have never really understood what they meant by that. So I decided to do some research and what I found is absolutely terrifying.

The Tale Of You & Me Part 1: Since we were kids
Dear Greta Since I began pursuing a successful career as a writer, I've published several letters that I've written to you. Although we may still be married legally, It's no secret that you and I are no longer together. You have moved on with your life and grew to love another man as much as, if not more than, you loved me. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success trying to do the same... The truth is that I am still in love with you. Any relationship that I have had since we've been apart was nothing more than a failed attempt at filling the whole in my heart that opened the day you left me. The day that happened is the day that I lost sight of who I was... it's the day that I became lost. I didn't just lose you, I lost my daughter too and so I lost my identity... because you two girls were my identity. A husband and a father, that is the man I was... These days I'm a husband on paper alone and due to both of our actions, I haven't really been able to... no, I haven't really given my best effort to be a father. The shame that comes with being that honest with myself is definitely the worst I've ever felt by far.

Surviving Depression &The War Inside Of Me
Life is a bitch... A phrase that everybody either says or hears at one point of their life or another. A phrase that is so accurate, society might as well just mark it off as universal law. The phrase life is a bitch should be categorized in the same group as Newtons laws of physics, the rules of proper grammar, and the sum of 2+2. In short, the four word sentence might as well be officially respected as a fact of life.

A Fathers Day Confession
Today is supposed to be a day that celebrates good dads. Fathers who provide for their children, who are a great role model for their children. Fathers who protect their children and raise them to know right from wrong. Fathers who attend after school activities like sports and dance, fathers who are there whenever their children need them... Those are the kinds of fathers who are to be celebrated today.

Outside Looking In
Through out each persons life, there comes a time when they feel out of place. That overwhelming feeling of not fitting in somewhere... Those are the moments where it becomes a challenge for you not to stop and think about what is wrong with the person you are. Why are you being treated like a misfit? What is it about you that is keeping you from fitting in? This feeling can come from a group of people at your high school or simply from a location in general. Regardless of its source, feeling like you don't belong is a disappointing situation, well at least 80% of the time. I remember this one time I felt like I was invisible, by both the location I was at and the people at the location too. Few things have made me as uncomfortable as the moment I am about to share did. I mean the kind of uncomfortable feeling that I wouldn't want anyone to have to experience.

My Hero Academia Paranormal Liberation War Ark Recap Part-1
[Warning: Anime fans have the opportunity to see into the future of their beloved shows in a sense, due to the capability of reading ahead in their respective manga version. While it may be a privilege that is really only available to anime fans alone (comics being the closest thing that compares to this luxury), it can easily turn out to be a problem for fans that don't wan't to hear about any spoilers. Some fans don't want to know a single detail until they are able to see everything unfold for themselves. If you are the kind of fan that fits that description than stop reading now! This is part 1 of the The Great War Ark recap and we will be going over every key moment that takes place through out the course of the 50+ chapters that make up what is arguably the greatest story line of the series thus far.]

In Our Nature
Growing up, I would always hear about how violent our species was. My 9th grade history teacher would say as long as there are men on earth, there will always be other men to kill them. The prediction that we would be the cause of our own demise had been made time and time again. So many times in fact, I almost feel foolish for feeling shocked the day that prediction came true. How could I be caught off guard by something that we'd been warned about over and over throughout the course of human history? Nevertheless, the day the world was set on fire, I was just as surprised as anyone else.

How Florida Failed Its Citizens When They Needed Their State The Most
"We The American People"... Simply saying the phrase to yourself out loud is enough to ignite a tiny flame of pride within you. We're as tough as they come and you can bet your ass that we don't have a problem letting anyone know it. Hard work, commitment, taking full advantage of the freedom that we possess to pursue our dreams in life; to me that's literally what it means to be a citizen of the greatest country on earth. We know how to stand strong come hell or high water, we've been forced to prove that fact on several dozen occasions already. However, once in a blue moon a situation comes along that presents circumstances so difficult, that even people as tough as us Americans need help to make it through.
