Melanin and Magic
You wake up, look in the mirror, and are greeted by your gorgeous melanin-rich skin and voluminous natural hair. As a black woman, you are magic. But the world doesn't always see you that way. Society constantly tells you that you're not beautiful enough, not feminine enough and that your skin is too dark. Your curves are too pronounced, your lips are too full, and your hair is too kinky and coarse. Every day, you face messages telling you that you need to change yourself to meet some unrealistic beauty standard.
