Red lights in the rear view mirror Cold shuddering mistake Spindling sunlight clearer One step closer to hate Clenching hands around the heart

The red of your uniform is blinding Too similar Hatred and weaponry binding And so I tremble Locked doors and heavy sirens
The silk of your hair The echoing rings The jangle of your bracelet The cartoon sings Promiscuity Encircling me in a shroud of darkness
The promise of an early morning The sparkle of tears in your mouth Are you a danger, mourning? Will you take me south?
The smell of freshly ground coffee Smeared across my face Trepidation of the highest calling As pretty as Chantilly lace
My owl eyes blink lazily at you Cradling my head On a crown of misfortune The softness of your grey sweatpants The gentleness of your let down
Cold August mornings flicker under blue light The steam rises to my ears, hips swaying back and forth Melodies spinning black and white
