Homecoming The second I step off the plane, my stress melts away into the bright winter sunlight. No longer plagued by oppressive humidity, my lungs expand to full capacity as I breathe in the crackling desert air. For the first time in too long, my heart has room to settle. Once I stride across the tarmac and enter the airport, I make my way toward the exit and my new beginning.
