We don’t Need Wings to Fly

My name is Ashwin Varadhan, and I have lived my whole life living in the same house and at the same school. I am going into my junior year of high school at Westminster School at Oak Mountain, and I have never had a thought about going to any other school due to the massive opportunities the school has provided me. Westminster has shaped me to be who I am, but the main impact that the school has had on me has specifically come from running cross country and track for my school. When I got into seventh grade I started running and I have not skipped a season since. My experience as a runner turned me into the person that I am today, and it will continue to shape me as long as I keep this sport in my life. The sport in itself is not what has changed me; however, it is the experiences it provides me, and the people with whom I share those experiences with that have the ultimate effect.
