I absolutely love how open to interpretation you’ve left this. Even the subtitle is a mysterious contextual clue — and to me, it’s the voice of your readers. We don’t know what you meant when you wrote this, but it’s sure to provoke ideas. To me, this reads like a philosophical debate on if free will can truly exist. If people are hardwired a certain way, they’ll repeat mistakes with no capacity to change; to move differently would require them to think differently, and be someone they’ve never been.

This was so good Ashley, I was drawn in and didn’t realize until almost the end that this was an abecedarian! “Tell the Joker she's a keeper Until the Very end.” Loved that, gave me chills!
