A Night I’ll Never Forget
The summer of 2019 is when I met him the man that would change it all. I was out with some friends and we got a call to meet up with another group and a different bar for one of their friends birthday. Little did I know when I walked in my life was going to change. There he was Sitting across the bar in a in a silk short sleeve button up shirt the hugged his muscles and showed off his tattoos and he had a lot of them. Early that night my guy friend Kyle was trying to set me up with men at different bars and I wasn’t interested in any of them. Until we arrived at this bar he immediately caught my eye and I grab kyle point and said “If you want to hook me up with someone to night I want that man right there.” His response shocked me and made me so excited he said “oh him I know that guy he’s actually apart of our group.” I was so happy when he said that he went on to say “ I got you I’ll talk you up to him.” He processed to walk over to this muscular 6’4 tattooed Adonis and talked to him. The whole time the guy was looking at me and smiling. My friend waved me over to introduce me. “Amber this is Joe, joe this is amber.” Joe then say hi and continues on to say “when he told me you thought I was cute I thought he was messing with me.” I then said with a puzzled look on my face “why would you think he was joking you’re hot and if I’m being honest I spotted you as soon as I walked in the front door.” A huge grin came across his face but before he could really say any more a mutual and very drunk friend of ours Vinny came over to steal him away. I gave Vinny this look that made him come back and question it. I said “bro your cock blocking” laughing and going on to say “I was trying to talk to him” Vinny thinking I was having a hard time goes “oh shit you want to talk to my boy Joe I got you” and before I could even stop him he goes over and start talking to Joe. Meanwhile Joe’s just looking at me smiling and laughing Kyle goes over and goes “bro I already help amber with him you’re just fucking it up.” Vinny steps back stumbling and goes “oh shit my bad” everyone laughs and Joe comes back over and I just said “ignore whatever he said he’s wasted” both of us laughing. The night comes close to a closes well the bar was closing so we all decided to go back to Vinny’s to hangout. Joe and I sit on the couch and I examine his tattoos finding out that we have so much in common. I end up getting his number and we take a picture for his contact of him bitting my knee goofy but super cute. He didn’t drive there and was ready to go home so I offered to drive him home. He ended up inviting me in and it ended up being a great end to a great night. This meet-cute was the beginning of a relationship I still cherish till this day. I got to spend three amazing years getting to know this goofy, handsome, caring, big nerd, beautiful man and the time we spend together means the world to me. I can honestly say I loved that man and part of me always will even if I was to afraid to tell him he was my best friend and one of the great loves of my life.
