How long will I wait? How long will I drag myself through the mud before I realize the hands waiting for me to finally take the bait.

When the glory fades
Where do we go when the glory fades? When the dust settles is there no more space? There has to be a bigger place to hold us outside of just 30 days.

July 4th
Fourth of July rolls around and I am left wondering what exactly it is that we are celebrating. Try and try as I might I can never find reason to be patriotic for this country I have to call home. There comes a certain connatation or image in being a proud American, and it is never one I wish to be as much as I would like to say that I am proud to be an American, it at times leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

No contact
At times it seems as if going no contact gets lost in translation instead of recognizing it as a need for distance in order for self growth from both parties it gets viewed as a grudge; silly petty differences or a unwillingness to find resolution for the dispute in the ways that the opposing person wants.

the little girl I used to be
body and spirit separate; relying more on my body than my spirit. Too afraid to learn how to give myself now what I needed then; An inner child wanders around picking up all those missing pieces I was so sure would never come back.

Do I cry over spilt milk or smash the glass to give me something to really rage about? taught to get over it before how to get through it; I am nothing but a ticking time bomb. How do I learn to be better when I've never been taught to feel better?

I listened to a song once, heard the word calamity, and thought that it meant peace. I mean what else would you think when it was sung about so melodically; mixed with how it is spelled, doesn't calamity just look as if calm just forgot a couple of its letters? forgot that it was the calm before the calamity?
