Today was our 7th anniversary. Dan had a surprise weekend planned for us. His mood had been super excited and bubbly, until today. He had a glow on his face but now it has faded. I tried to push the feeling away this morning when I rolled over in bed and he wasn’t there to greet me with a wide smile. I slipped into my favorite black dress as Dan walked into the room. I twirled in front of the mirror hoping to catch his eye.
