The Japanese Cowboy
Years ago, on a chilly December morning after visiting the majestic, at sunrise, Taj Mahal and floating, still half awe-struck, through the meandering and deserted streets of old Agra in search of sustenance, my travel companion and I passed by a small restaurant. Much to our relief, it looked open. What can one eat for breakfast in the land of curry and dhal? Titled “Zorba the Buddha,” the menu on offer, on a small free-stand by the door, captured my attention. A quick glance above the entrance confirmed that this was indeed the restaurant’s name.

The Israeli vegan in search of vegan casual sex
Shlomo was horny by his own admission and in desperate need of some casual sex. He had a problem though, other than having to find a sexual partner that is. He was vegan and in Japan which was rather limiting his options. Not that being in Japan was bad per se, but when you are traveling in a country distinctively dissimilar to yours - Shlomo was an Israeli Jew - matters pertaining to flirting, mating and the specifics of sexual intercourse can be rather complicated and potentially a minefield. Nonetheless not insurmountable, I would say. There are, after all, professionals in the sex trade that offer uncomplicated solutions to such male travelers’ needs.

Obsession at first glance
The pub was very noisy that night, packed to sardine-can capacity with eager students—and an assortment of locals—celebrating the start of the academic year in the way inhabitants of the British Isles know best, by inebriating themselves to various degrees of oblivion. So I did not hear the first time around what was asked of me, neither did I see who was doing the asking. We were all battling to keep our ground in the limited space available, and I was near the bar where everyone was wrestling to be. Even before I glanced up to see who was talking, I instinctively leaned closer to hear better. “I was just asking what clan your kilt’s tartan comes from”, the voice repeated. As I looked up to see the bearer of that barely audible voice, I sky-dived deep into a pair of silvery-blue eyes. Foreign lass meets local bloke.

the rebound
The Rebound I locked a man in my house, once, for a whole day. A drastic way of ensuring a man stays put, you might think, but let me assure you, that was not my intention. Then again, there must have been some Freudian undercurrent at play for this incident to take place as it did. I will let you decide.
