Blissful Ending
The sky was a hazy lavender color that fluctuated with a rust tint. A hue I’d never experienced before. As my diaphragm spasmed, my vision became unfocused and blurred. My steady breath devolved into trembly shivers with every gash from the ever so gentle axe. The viridian green pasture became stained with my crimson tears flowing from my wounds. I became still. The songbirds went silent, and the wind ceased. My body began levitating away from the pain as my extremities grazed every cloud, I had finally reached the stars. A sensational peace showered over me; I am at rest.
