I'm so happy to finally launch Oracle Jayne Station. After 18 years in the beauty industry, this has been the most ambitious and financially daring experience of my career. Among the many surprises, it has not been journalists, celebrities, or social media influencers who have been the most impactful with this launch. It has been friends. I count each of you among them. Some of you I've worked with for years, some I danced with in college, some helped me break into the industry, and some I've just met with this premiere. Thank you.

Why Will Bus Stops Say the Names of Victims But Maybelline Won’t?
I received a reply to the email I sent to a Maybelline representative on June 10th. Below is my next open letter response. Thanks for the additional information. You said that after I was asked for referrals to trans women willing to do social media work for freem that the concept changed, talent appearing in the “non-editorial content” for Pride last year were paid. What about talent appearing in branded "editorial" content? You also said that the Maybelline Pride initiatives would be rolling out. It's now June 15th.

In 2020, How Do We Talk About HIV?
Author’s note: A previous version of this piece was published on The Huffington Post in 2017. With so many significant changes to the fight against HIV/AIDS in terms of the success of PrEP, new information about what it means to be undetectable, a dizzying array of political issues, the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic, and through it all an additional 2 million new HIV cases globally, I felt that now more than ever, this piece needed to be updated and reshared. While cases of sexually transmitted infections have most likely fallen temporarily as social distancing have been put in place to drastically varying degrees depending on location, it is to be expected they will return along with previous social norms.

I'm talking about hand sanitizers, cleaning products, makeup sanitizing spray, and disposable palettes. With so much fake news and rumors circulating online, be sure you're getting your information from reliable sources like the World Health Organization, National Institute of Health, and the Center For Disease Control. There are lots of things to be concerned about right now, but the ray of light is how the medical community around the world is teaming up in ways like never before to fight this pandemic.

I recently did a fun behind-the-scenes video about my life. I've been collecting small paintings, prints, and one very special trophy. Join me in my cozy space, meet my chihuahuas, and check out the art and objects that inspire me. My apartment was chosen specifically because I wanted a smaller apartment than my last one so I could go to work, come home to a neat organized space, and basically just get ready for the next phase of my life. I would love to get back to gardening, hobbies, and cooking more, but in the meantime, I’m in full work mode!
