Emotional Intelligent People Are Higher Achievers and Have Higher Incomes
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the intangible ability which can fast track our performance, success, and impact. It is that leadership trait that sets us apart and makes us interesting and trustworthy. EQ affects how we interact with others, address social challenges, problem solve, and prioritize listening and empowering others. To simplify EQ, think of it as the combination of your self-awareness plus your social awareness. The first one focuses on how you manage your emotions and your ego, and the second one how you understand others to build quality interactions and problem solve. Another way to think of EQ is the following one: IQ+Charisma+Personality.

Climate Finance in 2022 risk and opportunities
As predicted by some experts, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) investment will become the “new-bottom line”. The ESG and broader climate finance is propelled by a combination of recent catalyzers, namely, climate regulation becoming more forceful; climate crisis and its economic impact skyrocketing and overall coordination among ESG stakeholders improving. The Green Deal in Europe and the Build Bank Better bill in the US, represent the two biggest global catalyzers for the 2022 ESG investment momentum. Furthermore, the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US and EU Central Banks taking climate risk more seriously, will position ESG investment as the greatest value generation opportunity in 2022.

Strategies to accelerate personal performance and impact
As I work with many leaders that have mastered personal performance, crisis management and decision making, I would like to share key lessons I have practiced and learned. I am going to focus on three areas which I believe have the highest potential for short term personal mastery. These are crisis management, wellness, and performance enhancement. All these suggestions should be taken with criticism as none of these work for everyone.

The G20 Can Use the Current Crisis To Its Advantage
As we enter a more complex phase of the economic, geopolitics and climate crises, the Group of Industrialized countries G20 prepares to host its annual in person summit in November 2022 under the leadership of Indonesia President. The G20 comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. These countries account for 80% of global economic output, 75% of exports and 60% of the world population. While the Presidents and Prime Ministers of these countries have been meeting annually since 1999, except for the 2008 financial crises, the G20 has become a little more than a photo opportunity. Last year G20, the first in person meeting since Covid started, hosted by the Italian Prime Minister, did not move the needle of international cooperation.

Success Belongs To The People That “Show Up”
Success and happiness are choices. Success, impact, and happiness are all the result of your choices, and they are not the result of randomness. The starting point is to take full responsibility for your life without looking back. Not looking back refers to the importance of removing the negative learning and programming that occurred through our formal education and imposed upon ourselves by families and life experiences. None of this was done intentionally. But it is time to unlearn some of life’s formal training as these may have become barriers instead of fuel for growth.

Women entrepreneurs is the future of business
Women entrepreneurship has become a mainstream topic as women in leadership positions are succeeding across business, finance, and politics. In the US alone, Women started 49% of total new businesses in 2021, up from 28% in 2019, according to the Davos Economic Forum. The Covid 19 crises seems to have helped women make bolder decisions and launch their business through digital and technology means. The Covid crises has also helped showcase women leadership in politics.

November 2022 Is A Pivotal Month For Sustainability
As we move to the fall of 2022, we should note that November is a busy month with sustainability and green growth summits and opportunities. These include the Egypt Climate Conference of the Parties COP27 and the Group of 20 summit in Indonesia. These events are taking place during an economic recession, a war between Russia and Ukraine, and a very fragile global economy affected by high inflation, supply chain disruptions and post-Covid traumas.

Stress Is Fuel For Growth, Greater Happiness, And Accelerated Success
The youngest heavyweight in the world boxing champion Mike Tyson once said, “Everybody Has a Plan Until You Get Punched in The Face”. The way I interpret this statement is that we have all gone through periods of success, and high confidence forgetting where we came from. And we all experienced levels of failures, setbacks, or injustices. What I am going to argue in this short piece, is that some of life’s setbacks can be turned to our advantage, converting the stress into mental fitness and abundance. I will also argue that most of the pain we experience is self-inflicted as we focus on the negatives and generate a lot of unnecessary noise and unrealistic deadlines.

United States billionaires will become the lead investors in European Football
Since the pandemic of 2020 North American Private Equity and Hedge Funds have been pouring billions of dollars in the European football leagues. They have done so because they have identified massive value-creation opportunity. As EU football clubs underperformed financially during the pandemic, American investors have moved in to identify and buy out these undervalued assets. This trend will continue and probably accelerate in Europe as North American investors have the financial know-how and are the preferred team acquirer as they fit in culturally with the fans base.

November is a month to watch: The football World Cup, the Global Climate Summit COP27, and the G 20 Conference
As we move into the fall of 2022, we should expect a lot of action around November's political, climate and sports events. Qatar will host the FIFA 22nd World Cup, Egypt will organize the Climate Conference of the Parties COP27, and Indonesia will host the Group of 20 (G20) most industrialized countries. These are exceptionally important events as the world is recovering from the biggest public health and economic catastrophe in a generation. Plus, Russia invaded Ukraine resulting in a humanitarian, commodity and energy crisis causing high inflation across energy and food supplies. Let’s look at some of the details.
