Rumored Creature, Real Life Savior
In the time of pirates, rumors swirled as whispers and chilling tales of something in the water were passed around. They say it made the ship rock in turn with the rising waves and made the water a deeper blue and green. It rippled the water and made it rain. They say ships had been sunk and that people had drowned after seeing red lights in the water.

“It’s valuable and rare as can be. You won’t find another human this far out in space, I’ll tell you that much.” The Florian went on, lips turned up as he waved dramatically at the small cage. Izebta let out a huff, taking a good look at the human inside.

Left for Dead, Found a Family Instead
Nate’s head is pounding as he stumbles along in the dark. His hand is outstretched and planted on the wall next to him, mostly to help keep his balance. His brain is fuzzy and everything hurts. He’s only vaguely aware of what’s happened to him but even then, he doesn’t have the energy to actively think about it. He’s running on pure instinct right now.
