When I'm 64!
I can't believe I am 64 and soon to be 65. Where has the time gone? I am sure many people as they get older ask the same question, and like me start reminiscing. But what really started me thinking was hearing The Beatles singing their song When I'm Sixty-Four on the radio. Hence the above picture seemed apt to me.

Achieving My Lifelong Dream
All my life I had wanted to gain a degree, but having special needs children took up all my time, and the years passed by so quickly. Every so often I would catch myelf looking at university courses but to no avail. Don't get me wrong I loved all my children, and I never regretted having a large family. I felt blessed that I had such beautiful children. But a part of me knew I had so much potential and I had always loved studying. I read everything I could on my interests. I was still determined that one day I would do it and it is this that kept me going when trying to deal with the day to day demands of special children.

Tea: The Ultimate British Indulgence
Drinking my T2 tea breakfast in bed at my desk whilst writing this perks me up no end. The vanilla and caramel notes with the english breakfast taste alongside is sublime. Tea is such an institution especially to us Brits. When something bad happens what do we say? I'll make you a cup of tea as if it is some kind of magical potion that will make everything alright again. I wish!

Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia
Living with any chronic illness is difficult. Especially if what you suffer from is invisible and one day you can go for a long walk and another day you can barely do basic chores. I have lost friends because of it. Just when I needed support it wasnt there from some of the people I know. I am blessed that I have a wonderfully supportive husband and a few good friends. But some people are not as lucky as I am, and I truly feel for them. By telling my story of a day in my life I hope to help others by letting them know they are not alone!
