The Legend of Death Alley
If walls could talk, would people listen? As pessimistic as it sounds, no, I don't think they would. They don't listen to the legends of this place, Death Alley, from their kind, so why would they listen to me? Maybe I wouldn't be so callous and caked with flesh and blood if they did.

The Island Guide
Jacob Gordon I have stared death in the eye so many times I would almost consider us friends. My life is defined by it, whether it is as a B.A.U. Agent or as a deft island guide. January 1, 2023
What to say about 2022? Of course, I am only speaking for myself here, but I had a great year. Although I have been sick for the last two weeks, I shouldn't let something like not-COVID overshadow my whole year. (Long story short, I had similar symptoms but kept getting negative test results.) 2022 was the year I found joy in writing (and reading) again, and I will be forever thankful to my family, friends, and Vocal+ for that.

She Chose To Forgive Him
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. She could make out the cherry blossoms falling like pink snowflakes between her swollen lids. She wished she could dance in the flowers, giggling like a little girl high on the euphoria of life. The cancer-ridden woman grimaced in pain as acid-like tears trickled down the sides of her face.

Despite What You Say
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. She loved the feeling of the sun rays filtering through the window, the warmth tickling her chilled skin. How she wished she could stay in this room all day, but she already broke at least three of the many house rules to enjoy this illusion of being outside.
