'The Transformers: The Movie'
The Transformers have been around for what seems like forever. Back in 1984, I was just 3 years old, but when the reruns hit the British screens in the late 80s, I was hooked. I lived on a TV diet of those cartoons that made the improbable come alive. MASK, Star Com, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Centurions, and GI Joe all embedded themselves into the brain of young me. For a long time I assumed the catchy theme tunes and over the top non-violent violence were the selling points. One thing the characters in these shows all had in common was the obvious training they undertook from the Stormtrooper academy from Star Wars. Accuracy in the 80s was not, how do you say, impressive?
