If walls could talk the prison guards will be the ones in prison alongside some of the prisoners. “Every wall listen up. I hear we will be getting a new officer for this block. His name is Officer O’Malley. I heard he molested and taunted young girls that came in his cell block. Some of them had not been jailed over two weeks. He sits and waits for fresh, new young ladies to come into the system. It’s really sad and pathetic. Words through the vents say that he was on the pedophile list in his home state? I know that’s why he did a voluntary transfer to this location? He is a sick and perverted old man. But, the pipes leaked that he is a changed man, reformed. So we will just have to peep him out. The judge is so busy throwing youth in here instead of getting them some help that they fail to do a thorough background check on some of the guards. Ok, ok, pipe down. (No pun intended) Here he comes!"

Things Aren't Always What They Seem
Janice was hesitant about hanging out with Jack because he was nothing like her norm. “I usually only deal with men who I have a lot in common with, but opposites attract is a real thing too. Plus, we are out here on this beautiful island for only a few weeks. Who knows if it’ll go anywhere after this. So, what’s the harm? I’ll see how it goes.” She thought to herself.

My Son, My Hero
February 15, 2022 Dear Baby Boy, Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! As you know, I enter a writing contest, to try and win money to fund my business. One, that is on our challenge board now is entitled “Hometown Hero.” I had so many people I wanted to acknowledge for this, that I almost allowed the time to expire. But, gratefully I didn’t. So, I wanted to take a minute and say, “Thank You and I love you”.

The 'Priceless' part of PriceLe$$
It is an honor to enter this contest entitled, “We Have a Dream” Steps to fostering kindness and inclusivity in 2022. My Daily Checklist
….Come to Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest... Matthew 11:28 (KJV) The above scripture is an invitation (and promise) of God. He will give us rest if we simply turn to Him with all of our problems, insecurities, concerns, etc. (All things that causes us stress, not rest). Rest is not simply ceasing from activities or work and sitting down with our feet up; or lying down in the bed and going to sleep, true rest is when you can totally relax your body, mind and spirit. Let’s go into the New Year following this checklist.

Evil and GOD
Day in and day out, Duck, who was nicknamed that because she would always waddle slowly doing her normal routine: Waking up, going to school, coming back home, doing homework, and chores. She never showed a zest for life. She lived inside of her own bubble. On the weekend, she attended church, practically all day on Sundays. Duck was a PK (Preacher's Kid). She would sit tirelessly listening to sermons and her parents’ teachings that she became numb. Her life was humdrum and sad. She was simply bored. She did not receive all the attention she really wanted or needed. She did receive a hug daily so she felt loved, but only through affection rather than parental guidance, discipline, support, and other role model behaviors. She felt her siblings were the apple of her parent's eye. She often asked herself, “Do my family really know me?” And thought to herself, I bet they can’t tell me my favorite candy, favorite color, favorite movie, favorite sports team, or whether or not I even like sports at all. Can they even see me, who (or what) am I to them? I wonder do they wish they wouldn’t have had me. You know, stopped after my brother and sister. I mean they had the perfect setup, a boy and a girl. That’s an American dream for a family wanting kids, right?

Foggy Waters
