Knock, Knock, Delivery!
My life is made up of boxes. Large, small, or tubular, it is my job to fill them with the items that other people purchase online. Checking against the order list that someone else has picked off the inventory shelves, it is up to me, one of many other human drone workers, to pack the objects in the most economical and break proof box. I have become a wiz at eyeballing an item, estimating its size and weight and selecting the shipping vessel that will best suit it.

Turtle Love and Loss
I once had a red eared slider turtle called Bandit, named for the black rings around his eyes. I washed out his aquarium every week, scrubbed out the algae, took a nail brush to his two large granite rocks and plastic plant decorations, and rinsed out the water circulation system. Bandit grew and grew, on a steady diet of chicken hearts, pet store supplements, and live freshwater snails when I could get them.

Corpse Party Book of Shadows by Makoto Kedouin ; art by Mika Orie (2017) manga review
I was introduced to the Corpse Party franchise through the PC role-playing game of the same title, created by Makoto Kedōin that this manga is adapted from. I played this game till I got frustratingly stuck at some strategic points and could not get any further with the plot or the game. Still intrigued by the story I turned to the manga adaptations that followed fairly closely the plot of the videogame. I was intrigued by the psychological breakdown that the characters underwent as they experienced the dark and haunted dimension of Tenjin Elementary School.
