Secret X-Men #1
Here’s my issue with X-men comics as of late: there’s too much going on. Sue me…but also stay with me here. With so many series branching from X-men and the co-mingling of Devil’s Reign, there’s just too much story going on for me and I simply can’t keep up. What’s even worse is that the comics all inform each other, making it so that even if you religiously read every issue in a run, you will still get treated like a newbie comic virgin that gets backhanded by a deep reference into obscure canonical events from branching series. This happens and it infuriates me. I can’t afford to buy everything that gets put out pertaining to the world of X-men! Just write a single, fun storyline that doesn’t have as many layers as a club sandwich does.

Review: Deathstroke Inc.
SYNOPSIS *Spoilers* Black Canary and Deathstroke have had quite the tumultuous relationship. They've fought hand in hand and head to head throughout the years. Recently, they've both been employed on a super secret mission by an organization ironically called T.R.U.S.T. A lesson in life is that whenever someone emphasizes that they can be trusted, they are usually the most untrustworthy people. So, the name of the organization itself implies a fat, indigestible chunk of foreshadowing. Who are you trying to fool T.R.U.S.T.? ; Black Canary and Deathstroke, that's who. Not so smart.

Avengers Forever
Synopsis: *Spoilers* As with many impulsive purchases, this wild hair was picked based on appearance alone. The cover art by Aaron Kuder and Jason Keith is an exciting barrage of heroes from all over the multiverse charging to leap off of the page, bringing the battle right to you. With such a wide variety of characters including the likes of Beast, Sandman, and Speedball, how could a reader not feel compelled to pick up this first issue to see what all the action is about? With so much activity and color and so many familiar faces, one is compelled, nay, required! to study the cover intently before even opening the book. Come to find out, the artist's actually extend a challenge to the readers to write in and identify all of the featured characters on the cover. Every kid who ever plowed through the challenges on the back of a cereal box dreamed of an opportunity to finally prove their worth to the creators. Now, as grown-ups, we can; to be forever immortalized in the back pages of the next issue.

What Must Be Done
“Welcome to Rebirth," an intercom announced in the barren room. No artwork or decor adorned the cobblestone walls. Kari woke up a few seconds ago in a cramped cottage. She rose from the lumpy bed and placed her bare feet on the cool, exposed earth. A pair of stark white sneakers were perfectly staged beside the bed; perfect size and matching the rest of her tailored athleisure outfit.

Fond Memories of Terrible Times
We never gave up on each other, until we did. The bond that formed between my mother and I seemed like a sacred union that not even God himself could interfere with. For the longest time we were all that we had and that's what made us inseparable. Unfortunately, petty family squabbles drove a wedge between us and we haven't been the same since. All that I'm left with are distant memories of the best relationship I've ever had with anybody. She was more than my mom; she was my best friend. Truth be told, she was my only friend. But, if you were to only have one friend, she was a pretty cool friend to have. I was grateful and happy to have her in my life, but even as a kid I couldn't help but wonder what her life would have been like if she never had me.
