L’Oréal
It’s the girl with black hair and black glossy shoes that never fails to catch my eye. Every time her slim ebony black-tighted legs stride past me. Her tiny plaid green skirt wavers on her petite hourglass frame, swishing back and forth, like the pendulum she bought me for my birthday. With each stride she takes, she disappears further and further away from me. I’m dying to hear her greet me, all I ever wish to hear is the simple, “Hello, my love.” That I’ve grown accustomed to. A part of me fears I may never hear those words from her again. I noticed her eyes are heavy and tired, her dark smokey makeup is invigorating. I just can’t help but wonder if she was awake all night thinking of me? I reminisce about a time when I was only inches away from her deadly beautiful face. A time when I was the beautiful face that filled her eyes with life, not death. But, God-if there even is a God-if there’s one thing I regret more than any other is not telling her that she’s a masterpiece. I’d fumble and fall for her all over again if she gave me the chance. I’d endure the endless prickling pain of her needle-pin, thin, heels striding on my back. Oh, how amazing it’d feel to uplift her feather-like weight from underneath her; just for her to take her painful strides all over me. I’d fall at her feet and let her stomp on me millions of times before I’d let my foundations crack. I’d endure ten million more just to see her light up-I’d do anything for her touch, even an unkindly, sensually painful poke! Is enough to satisfy me…

Tainted: “A Fable”
Our story begins with a pretty, white, owl living on the outskirts of the snowy Himalayan mountains. She never cared much for politics, so she decided to go rogue and exile herself from the rest of civilization. Except, it was difficult for the other animals there to not notice her flying around and retreating into the highest cliffs. Thus, her grandiose presence manifested negatively into being perceived by the other creatures as a "creature of vanity". It never really helped that our owl only did this at night, not to hunt, instead, to get her daily exercise in. Besides, what most didn't understand about her was that she was mainly a scavenger; to her, this lifestyle was more ethical. With so much free time on her hands, she's become known for her excessive emphasis on her physique. She spreads her wings and soars into the darkness of the night for hours until the night turns into the dawn of the morning when she can finally retreat back into her sweet, but messy, little home between two cliff rocks, that she’s built her "nest-for-one" in. No spouse and no children, she is a true creature of solitude. All she wants is to make the best out of her situation as a bachelorette.

It was an unfamiliar sensation to Tania, allowing the pulsation of her heartbeat, beat for someone who was made of the same material as her. The pheromones in the room were probably detectable to everyone in the city that night. The feminine energy in the room only heightened with the time that passed, and the music that played. There was no aura of anima in sight.

The Exploitation Behind Frank Herbert’s Dune
The compelling story that inspired the captivatingly dark tale of Star Wars is owed to none other than Frank Herbert’s book series: Dune. On top of the book series’ gorgeous covers, and enigmatic feel, Dune’s author is famous to Science Fiction nerds (such as myself) for many reasons. However, one outdoes them all; With the series predating the birth of George Lucas’s somewhat known trilogy famously known as Star Wars. In fact, they not only predate but even served as a source of inspiration to the King of Sci-Fi and world-building himself, George Lucas, as Dune was first published in the summer of 1965.

“him”: Her strength lies in her ability to charm: innocence plagued with sardonic humour. A deadly combination. The day finally came when she was no longer interested in me, but in some other guy. He was blonde, had a six-pack, and poodle-like hair. Scruffy, but he oozed out confidence. He was the kind of guy who walked into a room and owned everything in it. It's not like it wasn’t appealing, I could see why she was into him.
