The Lodgepole I’ve been trying to be a better listener. They say trees whisper to you as you jaunt through the forest. Yeah, right. Wind ripping through masses of branches and needles and leaves can create unspoken words, falling on red, numb ears. But if they could talk... These ears don’t hear the voices that escape through the lips of nature, though, they are too aloof. But if you stop and listen, really listen, you can hear their stories. ...What would they say?
