Our Nosey Neighbours
I saw the most amazingly funny thing yesterday.... It was quite early for us to be out in the front garden with our dogs; about 7.30am and although autumn here, the sun was quite bright. So, while I was wandering around the front garden with my cup of tea checking out the plants to see whether any more out-of-season buds had appeared, our two dogs started chasing each other and were making a little bit of noise - generally having fun.

What to Name the Dorpa?
My friends have just acquired a new Dorpa sheep (known as a cleanskin as they do not require shearing) from the Murrumbateman Field Days and it needs a name. The sheep is a whether (this means that it has been pruned) so it will be employed as a pet to eat the grass on their quarter acre block in a country town. So yesterday we went through various names such as Amos, Daphne Dorpa and I suggested Dick the Dorpa - no make that Dickless Dorpa I said; more suited to his "whethered" state.

It is Ancient History Now!
It is ancient history now. Well, it happened at least fifteen years ago, when change occurred more slowly, and social mores were re-created by class action, reformation, and the information technology revolution. Now changes are being rung in so quickly it is really like dancing with a gorilla; you may want to stop but does the gorilla?

Charlie and Beatrice
Some years ago, my friend Jennifer acquired a beagle called Beanz. Beanz had belonged to an American family who were returning home and could not take her with them. She was a large, ponderous, matronly, sneaky dog who lived solely for delectation of food. Having said that she was in fact quite a nice girl who happened to love her tuck a little too much.

The Twins
We twins were born at the Mercy Hospital, from the house at 1231 Cotham road in North Balwyn. It was a large old Victorian house situated on the corner of Cotham and Burke Roads in Melbourne. It is now a motel, but it seemed that then the block was so large the locals mistook sometimes mistook it for a small park and met there at night: for whatever nefarious reasons. It seems that when I was about four years of age in this park-like garden, when on the way to the tram stop I picked up a tiny, teeny, little balloon (it seems it was a dear little pre-used balloon made from rubber!) which, when I was found to be trying to blow it up on the tram, caused immense consternation!

Charlie's Easter
Charlie’s Chocolate Easter Our beautiful dog Charlie just loved and adored chocolate. She could smell it and despite my best efforts to hide it from her and the children, she would ferret it out and demolish it in minutes flat. It didn't matter how or where I chose to hide it, no chocolate was ever safe from her slavering, chocolate -loving jaws.

Bullying From This Side Of The Fence!
Bullying Part 1 Bullying Is Inherently Evil and an Abuse of Power! No Excuses Brooked. This essay/blog is being written from the perspective of one who suffered through the bullying process and enjoyed (not quite the right word) that after years of work and study losing one’s source of employment through the actions of others absolutely kills. So, in retrospect and having lost some four years of income because of this bullying I decided to try to both understand and come up with some type of solution.
