Waking Up Married to My Crush
From a Dream to a Reality Overnight

Start Chapter 1: A Night to Remember
Lila Hayes had always been a hopeless romantic, secretly pining over her long-time crush, Daniel Carter, for years. A handsome and charming architect, Daniel had been her college friend and the guy she always believed was out of her league. Lila had resigned herself to admiring him from a distance, content with their friendship.
One night, at a mutual friend’s wedding in Las Vegas, their worlds shifted. After a few glasses of champagne and some heartfelt conversations, the two found themselves swept up in the magic of the evening. The city lights, music, and laughter blurred together as they danced the night away.
What neither of them remembered the next morning was the impulsive decision that changed everything.
Chapter 2: The Morning After
When Lila woke up the next day, her head was pounding, and her memories were hazy. She blinked at the unfamiliar room and froze when she turned to see Daniel lying next to her—shirtless.
“Daniel?” she whispered, shaking him awake.
He groaned and sat up, equally confused. “Lila? What’s going on?”
Their confusion turned into shock when they noticed the shiny gold bands on their fingers. A quick glance at the bedside table revealed a marriage certificate with both their names on it.
“We’re… married?” Lila gasped.
Daniel stared at the document, running a hand through his messy hair. “Apparently.”
Chapter 3: Facing Reality
Awkwardness hung in the air as the two tried to piece together the events of the previous night. Daniel, ever the logical thinker, suggested getting the marriage annulled.
“This was obviously a mistake,” he said, though his voice held a hint of reluctance.
Lila nodded, trying to hide her disappointment. “Of course. It’s not like we’re… you know, a real couple.”
They agreed to keep the situation between themselves and promised to handle the annulment discreetly. But as they returned to their daily lives, things became more complicated.
Chapter 4: A New Dynamic
Back home, Lila and Daniel couldn’t avoid each other. Their circle of friends and shared workspaces ensured frequent interactions, and the knowledge of their marriage added a layer of tension to every conversation.
Lila found it hard to suppress her feelings for Daniel, especially when he started showing unexpected kindness. He’d bring her coffee, ask about her day, and even joke about their “marital bond.”
For Daniel, the more time he spent with Lila, the more he began to see her in a new light. She wasn’t just the sweet, dependable friend he had known for years—she was someone who truly understood him.
Chapter 5: Unexpected Feelings
Their plan for a quick annulment hit a snag when Daniel’s company announced a high-profile event requiring him to bring a “spouse” for appearances. He reluctantly asked Lila to play the part until the event was over.
Lila hesitated but agreed, knowing it was just for show. What she didn’t expect was how natural it felt to stand by Daniel’s side, to laugh at his jokes, and to feel his hand gently resting on hers during the evening.
As the night ended, Daniel surprised her by saying, “You’re amazing, you know that? I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Lila’s heart raced, but she dismissed it as Daniel being polite. Little did she know, his feelings were beginning to shift.
Chapter 6: A Leap of Faith
A few weeks turned into months, and the annulment papers remained unsigned. Daniel found himself making excuses to spend time with Lila, while she struggled with the hope that their accidental marriage might actually mean something.
One evening, Daniel showed up at Lila’s door, visibly nervous.
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking,” he began, his voice uncertain. “About us. About this whole situation.”
Lila braced herself for the worst.
“I think… maybe this wasn’t a mistake after all,” he admitted. “I can’t stop thinking about you, Lila. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’d be an idiot to let you go.”
Tears welled in Lila’s eyes as she realized her wildest dream was coming true. “Are you saying you want to stay married?” she asked, barely able to believe it.
“Yes,” Daniel said, taking her hands in his. “I want us to try—for real this time.”
Chapter 7: A New Beginning
With their feelings out in the open, Lila and Daniel decided to give their marriage a real shot. They navigated their new relationship with a mix of awkwardness and excitement, learning more about each other in ways they never had before.
Their love grew stronger with every passing day, proving that sometimes the most unexpected turns in life lead to the happiest endings.
