The 4 Holy Books of Prophets: A Divine Legacy

4 Books of Allah

By Islam ProPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In Islamic belief, Allah revealed four holy books to different prophets throughout history, these books known as Books of Allah . These books serve as divine guidance, moral compass, and a source of spiritual enlightenment for humanity.

Let's know these sacred texts:

1. Tawrat (Torah)

Revealed to Prophet Moses (Musa)

The Torah is the foundational text of Judaism. It contains laws, commandments, and stories about the relationship between God and the Israelites. It emphasizes ethical behavior, social justice, and the importance of following God's will.

2. Zabur (Psalms)

Revealed to Prophet David (Dawud)

The Zabur, often associated with the Psalms in the Bible, is a collection of poetic and lyrical prayers, hymns, and songs. It expresses a wide range of emotions, from praise and gratitude to sorrow and lament. The Zabur emphasizes the importance of praising God, seeking His guidance, and trusting in His divine plan.

3. Injeel (Gospel)

Revealed to: Prophet Jesus (Isa)

The Injeel, often referred to as the Gospel, is the holy book of Christianity. It contains the teachings and miracles of Jesus Christ, emphasizing love, compassion, forgiveness, and the importance of following God's commandments. The Injeel promotes a message of peace, hope, and salvation.

4. Quran

Revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

The Quran is the final revelation from Allah and is considered the most complete and preserved book. It encompasses a wide range of topics, including faith, morality, social justice, and the hereafter. The Quran emphasizes the oneness of God, the importance of prayer, charity, and following the example of Prophet Muhammad.

Belief in these four holy books is a fundamental tenet of Islamic faith. Muslims believe that while the original texts of the Torah, Zabur, and Injeel may have been altered over time, the core message of these books remains valid. The Quran, however, is considered the preserved word of God and is believed to be free from any corruption or distortion.

By studying and reflecting upon these sacred texts, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of divine guidance, moral principles, and spiritual truths.
