Something for Spring: Love Letter
A story about the cycle of life after love
By Chloe WartPublished 11 months ago • 1 min read

Feel my bones
Sweet as stones
pits of the lush fruit
Naked after a decadent tasting
Lost in love,
Weaving thru the tender souls
Cherry picking to uplift
not my own
Elevated from depths unscoured
I gaze, I smell, I walk along the flowerz 🌺
Misted on by
the Early
Spring Showers💦
Crush the petals betwixt ridges of thumb and finger
Knowing, ephemerally
The blissful ignorance that I had shed
To delve into the caverns of my head...
Never to emerge wholly unchanged
Hedging the horizon
For where it meets the sky, the sea, wondering was there ever a you and me
There are labels, then there’s life
I don’t design any dwelling for the times, seeming now, in vain
As we wax poetic and collapse
Like houses of cards
dusting in the wind
