Medals
The Paris 2024 Paralympic medals are fashioned from an iron fragment salvaged from the Eiffel Tower. They were created in partnership with the French jeweler Chaumet and are intended to be identified by touch. They combine sports with French cultural history and include engravings and Braille.
Mascot: The Phrygia
The Phrygian cap, a symbol of independence and freedom, served as the inspiration for the Paralympic mascot, Phryne. With a running blade at its disposal, the mascot promotes the inclusion values of the Paralympic Games and represents athletes with impairments.
Torch
The Paralympic Torch for Paris 2024, created by Mathieu Lehanneur, represents water, harmony, and equality. Its design is identical to that of the Olympic torch, indicating a common goal for the two competitions.
