Kamrakh (starfruit) is a type of fruit. Kamrakh has been used as a medicine since ancient times. Kamrakh has been described in Puranas and many Ayurvedic texts by the name of Karmarang. Kapha-vata, pitta disorders can be cured by the use of Kamrakh. Kamrakh is an appetite stimulant and is tasty.

1) Kamrakh fruits are very beneficial in case of vomiting and diarrhea. Consuming them also stops excessive thirst. Consuming 5 to 10 ml of Kamrakh (kamranga fruit) fruit cures bloody dysentery.

2) Giving 5 to 10 ml of Kamrakh fruit juice daily to a patient of bloody piles is beneficial in bloody piles. If juice is not available, then eating 1 or 2 fruits daily also stops bleeding.

3) Scurvy is a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency. A person suffering from scurvy faces problems like anemia, disability, continuous bleeding, etc. In such a situation, the patient should eat ripe fruits of Kamrak (kamrak fruit). This gives relief to the patient.
