One of the most intriguing aspects of magic is the art of levitation, which can be achieved through various techniques. In this my writting, I will explore a selection of these methods. I will begin with some straightforward techniques that can be easily executed at home, followed by more advanced approaches that require practice and preparation. Additionally, I will examine some professional-grade methods that are often showcased on national television. Please like this writting as we embark on the journey of learning how to levitate.

In the first technique, the magician enters the room and drapes a blanket or towel over the front of their body, creating the illusion of levitating off the ground. This effect is quite convincing and remarkably simple to execute. The process starts with attaching a pair of shoes using a large rubber band or applying Velcro to the sides of the shoes to keep them together. This connection is crucial for the illusion, as moving one shoe will cause the other to move in tandem. While covered by the blanket, the magician discreetly removes their right foot from the shoe and positions it behind the other foot. Under the concealment of the blanket, the magician lifts their left foot off the ground, causing both shoes to appear to levitate together. To finalize the illusion, the magician returns their foot to the shoe and removes the blanket.

In the subsequent method, the magician performs without any cover, approaching a step stool and seemingly levitating to its top. They appear to float in midair without any visible support. This technique is not only cost-effective but can also be executed at home. To achieve this effect, one can use a loose-fitting pair of pants, such as jeans, and create a slit from the top to the bottom of the right leg. Inside the pants, glue or tape the fabric to the bottom of the shoe. Although this may appear disorganized from the front, it is important to remember that the audience will only view the back.
