1. Hot water fomentation

Hot water fomentation is an effective home remedy for pain during menstruation. Hot water fomentation calms the muscles of the uterus. Which gives relief from pain. For this, fill hot water in a rubber bag or a plastic bottle and foment the lower part of the stomach with it. We can also soak a towel in hot water and foment the painful area.

2. Cinnamon

Calcium, iron and fiber are found in large quantities in cinnamon. Along with these, it has many such properties which provide relief from swelling and pain during periods. Mix one spoon of cinnamon and one spoon of honey in a glass of hot water and drink it 2 to 3 times on the first day of menstruation.

3. Fennel

Fennel reduces discomfort and pain by calming the cramps in the uterus. Put one spoon of fennel in a cup of boiling water, now let this mixture remain on low flame for 5 minutes. Now cool it a little and add one spoon of honey. Consume this herbal tea twice a day in the first 2-3 days of periods.

4. Ginger

Ginger is also used as a remedy for pain during menstruation. One of the biggest reasons for stomach and back pain is a chemical called prostaglandins which is present in the uterus of women. Fennel works as a medicine and reduces this pain-increasing chemical. This gives you relief from stomach and back pain during periods. Put a small piece of ginger in a cup of water, boil it and after cooling it a little, add honey and lemon juice to it. Drink this tea 3 times a day during menstruation.

5. Basil

Put a spoonful of basil leaves in boiling water and cover it well. Drink it when it cools down, consume it 3-4 times a day. Basil works as an Ayurvedic medicine which helps in reducing pain.

6. Papaya

Papaya fruit is very effective in getting rid of stomach pain during periods. This fruit is rich in iron, vitamin A, carotene and calcium which helps in calming the uterus in women, thereby relieving pain. Include papaya in your diet before or during periods and say goodbye to pain.

7. Coriander seeds

If you have irregular menstruation along with stomach pain, then coriander seeds can prove to be a panacea for you. Boil some coriander seeds in water and after it cools down, consume it twice a day, you will feel relief from pain.

8. The use of celery is a panacea to get rid of this pain. If you boil 2 grams of celery in a glass of water and drink it, you will get relief from all types of stomach pain!
