Fantasy Prologue II
The Awakening of Eirith's Heart stone

According to mythology, the land of Eirith used to be silent. No rivers murmured, no birds sang, and the winds held their breath, as though they were waiting for someone or anything to wake them. Then a shimmering tear appeared in the sky from a silver dusk. A magic long believed gone to the earth was spilled into Eirith by a veil of light that stretched across the heavens like molten strands.
A figure emerged from this tear, her eyes as old as the mountains and as ferocious as the storm, her garment made of shadow and starlight. She was known as the Weaver of Fate, Silren, and her influence reverberated throughout the universe.
The air hummed in the dark realm of Alryss, where twisted spires rose and fell like silent giants. The stirring of Eirith's Heartstone was a sensation that only the oldest tree, which had seen too many ages, could remember. Deep within Mount Eridorn's stone corridors, the Heartstone throbbed with fresh life, illuminating the rock with veins of light that sounded in time with Silren's approach.
The rulers of Alryss and the surrounding countries were aware that this was not a typical situation. Leaning over his council table at the castle of Orinn, King Rael traced the old maps marked with the tracks of long-forgotten routes. He understood that a tremendous journey would be required when the Heartstone called, so his gray eyes glinted with both fear and resolve. His voice was firm but tinged with stress as he ordered, "Send the scouts." "The prophecy may already be underway if the Heartstone awakens."
A young farmer named Kael woke up in the middle of the night in a little village called Hyreland, which is located across the valley. Unusual dreams of glistening lights, a woman wearing a starry mantle, and a voice addressing him by name had roused him from his slumber. The voice reverberated in his brain, calling him to a location he had never seen but that felt as familiar as the beat of his own heart.
Kael's existence was straightforward; he was familiar with the amber fields' routes, the sparrows' songs, and the cycles of the seasons. However, he was also aware that his destiny extended beyond Hyreland in some way. He became aware that the world he believed he understood was just the start of his story as he gazed out at the quiet plains beneath the starry sky. There was a dim flicker of light on the horizon, calling him to the unknown.
Thus, Kael ventured into the night with little more than bravery in his heart and the Heartstone's age old call as his guide.
