Conquest: A concept beyond borders

یک=all, همه=one

By saghar salariPublished 8 months ago 1 min read
Every word I write is dust at the feet of the artists who lived before me...

Conquest is not the seizure of lands.

It is not victory over territories.

Its opposite is not defeat - but cruelty:

A cruelty against a people by erasing their identity and history.

Culture cannot be bought with money.

And it cannot be produced with artificial intelligence.

Culture is the result of countless trials and errors throughout history -

Born of life, experience, human interaction,

and the quiet depths of reflection that life calls for.

Culture is about being an artist.

And living artistically.

To be truly human is to be an artist.

Art is the embodiment of human history.

It has been passed down from voice to voice, from hand to hand -

It has been shared, will be shared, and will continue to be shared.

The role of art is to transmit meaning from one generation to the next.

This is how culture spreads its roots.

And even if one tries to erase it,

it takes time...

and even then, its traces will remain -

waiting for the next artist to rise from the dust.

And yet, you still talk about "conquest":

the same old kind -

shallow, easygoing, fascinated by materials, stems, leaves,

and even ready-made fruit...

unaware of the deep culture that gave birth to it,

blind to the soil and roots beneath.
