Borbaad" is a 2025 Bangladeshi romantic action thriller film starring superstar Shakib Khan. Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, the film has already become one of the most talked-about and successful Bengali movies of the year. Within just the first week of release, Borbaad broke box office records, even surpassing the previous hit Priyotoma.

The story follows Arian Mirza (played by Shakib Khan), a man deeply scarred by a past romantic betrayal, who sets out on a path of revenge. There has been a lot of praise for Shakib's intense portrayal of the character. Other notable cast members include Idhika Paul, Jisshu Sengupta (marking his return to Bangladeshi cinema after 23 years), Misha Sawdagor, and Fazlur Rahman Babu.

Commercial Success It broke Priyotoma's first-week record by being shown in 112 single-screen theaters. The film is already considered a major commercial success and a game-changer for the Bangladeshi film industry.

The movie is currently playing in theaters across Bangladesh.It was initially reported that the film's shooting would begin in September or late August 2024.
