Discovering True Work-Life Balance

In a world where we constantly strive to balance many things on our plate, can we fulfill everything eventually and still be satisfied?

This question pondered my mind this week as I strived to find the answer to how to achieve this goal. Apparently, there's no end as I realize I was happy doing what I love by following my passion, but at times it conflicted with my values by doing too much over my personal life.

That's when I questioned the balance equation.

How much is too much?

Apparently, our body is smarter than we think. Every time we feel like we are doing too much, trust that gut feeling and nudge. Pause for a moment to digest the present. Pause for a moment to instill the beauty of the present. There's always something to do, but if we strive to keep going and going and going, we will lose the essence of valuing what we have right now.

I no longer strive for this luxury; I now strive to find peace with my inner conflict. The more peaceful my inner being is, the more I know that I am doing the right thing at the moment. And if your inner compass is not as loud as mine, it is okay. Take some time off to stay still and allow yourself to be. It will take time, but trust that you know more than you think you know. The answer has always been within.

Good luck on striving to find balance and becoming the better version of ourselves!
