This Facebook (above photo) comment by Kenneth Teske from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was posted on 3 April 2023. He and several others posted hateful & racist comment on a Juneteenth celebration post. They all attacked Black people and the city of Philadelphia.

Why isn't Kenneth Teske's comment deleted & removed from the platform? When I reported his comment I was told it doesn't go against community guidelines and standards. When I shared the comment, I noted this is what Facebook allows users to post about Black people.

I was banned for 30 days from using the platform.

A Black Lives Matter organizer once pointed out how Facebook has a double standard for white users over Black users. When she posted a comment and received a ban, she asked a white friend to post the same exact thing on her page. That friend asked all her white friends to post this same comment on their pages, none of them were banned or given a violation.

Mark Zuckerberg Hates Black People

As I write this, I’m currently serving two simultaneous Facebook bans. I, like many Black organizers, have taken to maintaining two accounts — a primary and a backup. It’s infuriating and tedious, but I chalk it up to the Black tax. Since Black organizers are more likely to have their content flagged and removed for “violating community standards,” we’ve had to find workarounds to sustain our online presence and engagement. Currently, my primary and backup accounts are both banned for “promoting hate speech.” That means bigoted trolls lurked my page reporting anything and everything, hoping I’d be in violation of the vague “standards” imposed by Facebook. It’s kinda like how white people reflexively call the cops whenever they see a Black person outside. Except in this case it’s not my physical presence they find threatening, it’s my digital one.

In an article from 2017 the racial biased behavior of Facebook it outlned and hasn't changed much since then. The platform also allows white males to post rape threats, sexual insults and violence.

I've noted this as well in a Thailand group, the group was even filled with racist and sexists posts towards Thai women. While posting emasculating posts about Thai men, these posters were all White Western men from the UK, US and other European countries.

Facebook’s Secret Censorship Rules Protect White Men From Hate Speech But Not Black Children

A trove of internal documents sheds light on the algorithms that Facebook’s censors use to differentiate between hate speech and legitimate political expression.

In the wake of a terrorist attack in London earlier this month, a U.S. congressman wrote a Facebook post in which he called for the slaughter of “radicalized” Muslims. “Hunt them, identify them, and kill them,” declared U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican. “Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.”

Higgins’ plea for violent revenge went untouched by Facebook workers who scour the social network deleting offensive speech.

But a May posting on Facebook by Boston poet and Black Lives Matter activist Didi Delgado drew a different response.

“All white people are racist. Start from this reference point, or you’ve already failed,” Delgado wrote. The post was removed and her Facebook account was disabled for seven days.

A trove of internal documents reviewed by ProPublica sheds new light on the secret guidelines that Facebook’s censors use to distinguish between hate speech and legitimate political expression. The documents reveal the rationale behind seemingly inconsistent decisions. For instance, Higgins’ incitement to violence passed muster because it targeted a specific sub-group of Muslims — those that are “radicalized” — while Delgado’s post was deleted for attacking whites in general.

Over the past decade, the company has developed hundreds of rules, drawing elaborate distinctions between what should and shouldn’t be allowed, in an effort to make the site a safe place for its nearly 2 billion users. The issue of how Facebook monitors this content has become increasingly prominent in recent months, with the rise of “fake news” — fabricated stories that circulated on Facebook like “Pope Francis Shocks the World, Endorses Donald Trump For President, Releases Statement” — and growing concern that terrorists are using social media for recruitment.

In this article below there are screenshots of racists jokes and rape jokes posted in a Thailand expat group on Facebook. The group is filled with white men who live or frequenlty travel to the country. Many seem to be sexpats, that only go to drink and have sex with the local women. A lot of men post photos of Thai girls not women.

Also an Asian woman goes on a rant calling Afrians filthy for eating food with their hands. He comments went on for over 24 hours, several people including myself reported her for her comments. The German based Chinese national was never banned & her comments remained.
