Yet again another TikTok account spreading false information. This TikTok user has gained thousands of followers by talking about any hot topic she locates. There are several videos where she's just yapping about nothing and everything.
Apparently a few days ago she came upon the news of issues taking place in West Africa. She then starts to spread false information, on the perfect platform for false information.
Her first bit of her rant she refers to the country of Africa, she didn't seem to think that calling Africa a country was an issue. To make things worse, she said the country of Africa closed the French embassies.
So let's unpack this, her mind thinks that the 56 countries are Africa are all one. Then she thinks that there is one French embassy in all of Africa.
Her rant then turned to Niger, she spoke about Niger cutting off the water, electricity and not allowing food delivers to the French embassy. Which is one of the only true statement she made.
However she claimed that not only was Africa a country but that it had closed it's French embassies. Which makes no sense. How can Africa be a country, then how can it close all French embassies throughout it's land? (of 56 countries including Somaliland)
One person commented, "this is why I love getting my news from TikTok!"
Really? This is the state the world is now in? Social media news from people who think that an entire continent is one country!
Niger requested the French to leave, in her rant she also claimed that Nigeria had also done the same. With over 600 shares and comments, people actually believed what she posted.
When only 2 people pointed out that she called Africa a country, she claimed it was just a slip of the tongue mistake. However when she said the country of Africa closed out all it's French embassies, she was willingly making a mistake.
The user went onto say that we were ended into world war 3 because of the situation taking place in Africa. This can't be more false.
What she left out totally was that ECOWAS the economic group of West African countries are deciding on military action against Niger. She skipped that part, she also called myself and another French trolls, when I pointed out that Nigeria, which supplies 70% of the electricity to Niger had cut them off.
This user has no idea that ECOWAS is still debating about sending African military troops into Niger, she seemed to think that France was for some reason coming to Africa to wage a war and bringing other western countries.
Sadly many users who are not in Africa believed her misinformation, TikTok remains the worst platform I've seen come to rise in my lifetime, that spreads the most hatred, false information and allows random violence posted outside of the United States.
It's amazing how much hate speech is allowed to flow on the platform, when others have been banned for something as simple as using the music the app allows you to post over your videos. Some content creators are complaining that posting about racism in America is getting their accounts violations.

Now this above screenshot is from Facebook, this is a Ugandan news paper, they called the United States of America, the European Union. The entire article, used the United States name, while talking about the European Union.
The photo used, is even that of the European Union. These are dark days for social media. There needs to be more control, or there will continue to be more election interference and coups around the world.
