Why the alleged Khloe Kardashian snub of Meghan Markle's As Ever Napa Valley Rosé is overblown

An apparent gift basket sent to Khloe Kardashian and used by the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle on her Instagram has got her critics' tail up who allegedly sense a snub from the Kardashian clan. Is it what it seems? Here is why As Ever will not be too bothered.

Season 2 With Love, Meghan. Lifestyle in Style.

For comparison, Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede's Good American as a startup fashion company when it launched apparently made about $1 million in sales as reported. As Ever Wine (the "Winery) is within that bracket in terms of startup company launch sales in less than an hour without the headaches of a fashion business in terms of inventory. And guess what? As Ever Wine ( the "Winery") did not need any celebrities promotion on the 1st of July 2025 when they launched and sold out in less than an hour with the same or better sales impact than the Kardashian clan's fashion companies launches.

This one sided debate from the Duchess of Sussex Meghan's critics focuses on the alleged principle of the monetisation that Khloe Kardashian may be getting per post on her Instagram account. It is alleged that maybe the reason the gift set did not go down well. What a lot of people seem to forget is that on the other side of this overblown debate where there is a lot of confirmation bias of people seeing what they want to see. The Duchess of Sussex Meghan does not mistakenly send a gift set without understanding the consequences.

Is this one of the reasons why the Duchess of Sussex Meghan send the gift set?

The link between Khloe Kardashian and her co-founder of Good American, Emma Grede. The Duchess of Sussex Meghan did an interview with Emma Grede's Aspire podcast where she disgust a broad range of topics including the As Ever and Netflix partnership.

And just like that, a couple of days later after sending the gift set, there is an announcement of a new deal with Netflix with different terms which the Duchess of Sussex hinted in that podcast interview.

Season 2 With Love, Meghan. Blind taste?

Yes, the gift set to Khloe Kardashian may have served two purpose. The other being a reminded that her Vintage 2024 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé is still available to buy at wine.asever.com.

Emerging success story?

Will the As Ever team be really bothered by this?

As Ever Wine (the "Winery") is actually where there is what seems to be a bigger success story to be told for the Duchess of Sussex Meghan's As Ever startup company's balance sheet. It is not always about the sell outs but what you sell and how much of it.

More than eight days after the restock on the 5th of August 2025, the Vintage 2024 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé is still available. The question is how did As Ever prepare for the availability to avoid startup company issues they have with other products. Monitoring the organic website traffic going through asever.com, there seems to have been more than half a million website visits since the restock on the 5th of August 2025.

A success story scenario maybe emerging. If the level of engagement from visitors of the As Ever Wine website is higher than the estimated 20,000 orders since the 5th of August and the 5,000 of the 1st of July, they could have received so far in excess of 40,000 orders yielding a monetary value of between $7 - $8 million. That will still be less than 15 percent of what is believed to be the US organic search website traffic which went through the asever.com website the eight days after the 5th of August 2025.

I said earlier that the Duchess of Sussex Meghan rarely does something by mistake when it concerns her messaging. For some reason there is another link with a photo from the release of the Netflix season 2 of With Love, Meghan. Her friend and neighbour Jamie Kern Lima who sold IT Cosmetics and appeared on her Confessions of a female founder podcast.

The Duchess of Sussex also appeared on the Jamie Kern Lima podcast which also touched on varied topics but a bit more personal with this message.

" I am incredibly proud of my wife"

And this @aseverofficial Instagram post was released on the 1st of July when the Vintage 2023 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé sold out in less than an hour. With the message to her fans,

"Still soaking it in- feeling endlessly grateful. "
