Every morning, Alice woke up to the same sight: a dark shadow in the mirror. At first, she thought it was just her sleepy mind playing tricks on her, but the shadow never went away. It seemed to grow stronger each day, and Alice couldn't shake the feeling that it was watching her.

She tried to ignore it, but the shadow became more and more ominous. It took on the shape of a person, with long arms and a twisted, contorted face. Alice followed the instructions in the book, setting up a circle of salt and lighting candles. She recited the incantation, and waited. At first, nothing happened. But then, she felt a cold breeze, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.

Suddenly, the shadow appeared in front of her. It was no longer just a dark shape, but a full-bodied entity. Its face was twisted and contorted, and its eyes glowed red. Alice stood her ground, reciting the incantation with all her might.
