The Shadow in the Mirror
The Terrifying Tale of a Haunted Reflection

The Shadow in the Mirror
Every morning, Alice woke up to the same sight: a dark shadow in the mirror. At first, she thought it was just her sleepy mind playing tricks on her, but the shadow never went away. It seemed to grow stronger each day, and Alice couldn't shake the feeling that it was watching her.
She tried to ignore it, but the shadow became more and more ominous. It took on the shape of a person, with long arms and a twisted, contorted face. Alice couldn't escape it, no matter where she went. She saw it in the reflection of her car, in shop windows, even in her own reflection in a pond. The shadow was always there, always watching.
Alice's friends and family thought she was losing her mind. They tried to reassure her that there was nothing there, that it was just her imagination. But Alice knew better. She knew that the shadow was real, and that it wanted something from her.
One night, Alice woke up to find the shadow standing at the foot of her bed. She screamed and scrambled to turn on the light, but when she looked back, the shadow was gone. Alice knew that she couldn't keep living like this. She had to do something about the shadow.
Alice began to research the paranormal and she was trying to find a way to banish the shadow from her life. She read books on ghosts and spirits, and even consulted with a psychic. But nothing seemed to work. The shadow was always there, lurking in the corners of her vision.
One day, Alice was in a bookstore when she came across a strange book. It was bound in black leather, with strange symbols etched into the cover. The book was titled "The Shadow Realm: A Guide to Banishing Dark Spirits". Alice hesitated, but something drew her to the book. She knew that this was her last hope.
Alice took the book home and began to read. The more she read, the more she realized that the shadow in the mirror was not just a random ghost. It was a spirit from the shadow realm, a place where dark entities lurked and waited for a chance to cross over into our world.
Alice followed the instructions in the book, setting up a circle of salt and lighting candles. She recited the incantation, and waited. At first, nothing happened. But then, she felt a cold breeze, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
Suddenly, the shadow appeared in front of her. It was no longer just a dark shape, but a full-bodied entity. Its face was twisted and contorted, and its eyes glowed red. Alice stood her ground, reciting the incantation with all her might.
At first, it seemed like nothing was happening. But then, the shadow began to shrink. It writhed and twisted, trying to escape, but Alice held on. Finally, with a loud shriek, the shadow disappeared.
Alice collapsed onto the floor, exhausted but triumphant. She had banished the shadow from her life. She knew that it might come back someday, but she was prepared. She had the knowledge and the power to fight back.
From that day on, Alice never looked at a mirror the same way again. She was always on guard, always looking for any signs of the shadow's return. But she knew that she was ready, and that she would never let the shadow take control of her life again.
